Platinum-cured slicks should seriously be the new standard. These work great, lock tight (you may have some minor issues aligning it properly), and don't get all gross and sticky after having oil in them after a certain amount of time. They also hold A LOT of oil.

This works great as a slick, I’ve been using it for months and it’s held up really well. I freeze mine so the good stuff stays hard enough to break apart in the container so you’re not dropping/getting any stuck anywhere. It’s huge so you can put a lot in there!!
