Motorcycle Black Metal Solo Seat Baseplate For Sportster XL883/1200

I turned a 1996 Honda Shadow VT1100c2 ACE into a bad to the bone bobber and needed a solo spring seat. I haven’t previously sat on a spring seat in person, so I’m not to sure what I’d like or expect from it. I chose the economic route as a starter and this to me is an ideal starter seat. Maybe your forever seat, but I’ll make my own eventually. It really is a 4.5/5 star. You get what you pay for which is pennies in the dollar, but it isn’t a $200 custom seat, so don’t expect that or a custom fit/install. It’s decently adjustable fore and aft. It’s a universal bobber seat and designed well. It’s sturdy for being a 22 gauge or so steel seat pan. I had to make my own under seat/air intake cover by cutting some $8 22 gauge steel to cover the frame beneath the seat and you’ll have to do the same (cardboard stencil it first with 1/4” overlap on the frame and good weather stripping beneath the cover you make if you choose to make one, this won’t cover your frame). I also welded on a 14 gauge crossmember to bolt it down in the rear at the center point so I can unbolt (I used a threaded knob like on the handle of a lawnmower), flip it up, remove the cover and access electronics and intake of storage. The kit was missing nuts and washers, but I needed some for other bolts and nuts for the build so I just got some at Ace hardware for less than a dollar and didn’t complain to amazon like a giant baby. It looks awesome and it’s as comfy as I’d imagine MOST spring seats to feel. Same coils as 99% of spring seat coils on the internet as far as I could tell, so it meets the standards. Price is good for what you get. Great starter and not a loss when I’m ready to upgrade to something more custom on my build. Decide now if you want to build your own or get this nearly complete kit. I got the kit and I’ll decide later on my own design. Dimensions are great for my rear and, but I have a 32” waist and maybe a 12” wide butt at most.

first one came damaged company made good on it fast. good seat ,material a little thin though . worked for customers project .

Get what you pay for, suctions are hot glued on the bottom. Don't plan on removing this seat often as they will pull off the seat and stay suctioned to you're bike.

Was what I was looking for. It brought the look I wanted out.Update- a month into riding and the stitching is coming apart, and the color has faded and wipes off when I dry it after morning dew has set in. Junk seat. Don't waste your money.

This kit doesn't come with enough mounting hardware to install the mounting plate. Not enough washers and not enough mounting nuts and only one locking flanged nut! Then the mounting plate doesn't even begin to fit where it's supposed to fit and mount onto the bike because there isn't any lower mounting bracket that comes with this lower mounting plate & bracket that allows for the lower mounting plate to NOT shift from side to side. That's dangerous as all get out and this mounting seat plate doesn't even come close to mounting onto the bike without extremely modifying it just to get it to mount to the bikes frame and work properly to mount a seat to it and be safe while riding. All and all this item needs some serious re-designing done to it in order for it to function properly! Like I said there seems to be a missing mounting plate for the mseat mounting plate to the frame piece. You can't just ride a motorcycle with a shifting from left to right seat that's not mounted down! Your gonna crash the first time you maneuver a curve. Your seat will shift opposite whichever direction your turning in and your gonna jerk the handlebars when that seat goes to shifting and then, your going down or your gonna die in the process of the crash! So in my professional opinion of this product...it's a death trap just waiting to happen and you'd have to modify it so much that it'd be better to just fabricate your own seat mounting plate. Cause this one is pure junk. Don't waste your money on this! You might regret it and pay the ultimate price in a very short time after & if you can even install this thing. Also it's not at all sturdy enough to handle very much if used. Needs to be thicker, heavier, a better design, and have all the necessary hardware and brackets to make it fit right. I couldn't recommend this thing for any comfort level of any kind! Don't buy this thing!

It is cheap and it does fit a heritage Softail. But the suction cups are glued. So not really designed for taking off and reapplying. If you put it there and leave it there works just fine

Super awesome seat and COMPLETELY worth the money! When you’re sitting on the seat, it won’t move at all. Incredibly lightweight and easy to throw in my backpack when I’m out riding. The best part, is that now I don’t have to buy any expensive mounting hardware or back rest for a passenger; therefor leaving my Harley looking slim and clean 😎

The seat pan is fantastic, way more sturdy than I expected. The material is mediocre, but that's easily changed, and for the price, I'm not complaining!

何がともあれ、安い！加工してジャズに取り付けましたが、品質、クオリティ文句無し。
