It is thinner and softer than I anticipated. I am using it to make a ladder back dining chair more comfortable. It slips through the gap in the back of the chair, so I had to devise a couple solutions. First, I looped a fine leather belt around the lower rung of the ladder back and the frame of the seat. This created a leather sling of sorts to close that gap. This required unscrewing the seat from the frame of the chair and putting it all back together after the belt had been looped a couple times. It doesn't look bad, as the belt kind of matches the chair and its material, and the back of the chair faces a wall. So aesthetically, it doesn't bother for this particular chair. It was still a bit too pliable for me, so I gave the cushion a hard shell backing. I sawed a legal-size clipboard to fit into the cover. I sawed away the clip area, of course, and narrowed the board just enough so it would fit through the open zipper so I could place it between the foam and the cover. Now the cushion is a lot firmer and more comfortable. I also did a rudimentary upholstery job and covered the entire cushion with extra material matching that of the dining chair. I kept the leather belt looped, as well, for extra lower back support through that gap in the chair. I think the product would be better if it at least offered a hard shell backing for chairs with gaps. It forced me to be creative, which was fun, but I would have preferred to have it do its job from the first.

I ordered this for my office chair for lumbar support and to help encourage good posture. Due to space and placement constraints, my computer is not on a surface with a cut out for knees and legs. It means I have to sit farther back from the countertop and that was causing me to lean forward or slouch and lose back support from my chair. This is day one and this cushion helps to fill the gap and make my chair more comfortable and functional. I gave it four stars because I wish the foam was just a bit firmer. So far, so good, though.

The added support from this cushion pretty much eliminates the lower back ache I get when driving my F150 truck on trips of an hour or longer. My only complaint with the cushion is that the elastic back strap isn't long enough to wrap around my truck's bucket seat. Fortunately the cushion is at the right height without strapping it to the seat, but it falls forward when I leave the truck and needs to be positioned again when I get back into the seat. If the back strap was usable I'd have given it 5 stars instead of 4.

I took this pillow with me halfway across the world and it kept my sciatica in check and my back comfortable everywhere i went.For the price it was worth it. My only complaint is the straps are not made from that great of a material. It is a very thin elastic, underwear is thicker.The Memory foam is the perfect weight memory foam, It forms to the back and keeps it shape enough to keep giving support for hours on end.

Put under my car’s seat cover. I’m a woman with a curved back—no lumbar support was getting old. I got the headrest and seat first. Both are great! (Just wished I could lower my car’s seat so I wouldn’t sit so high). The back one was absolutely the best purchase. Now I can enjoy my longer travels and short commutes. Very good purchase. Will update if anything changes.

If you think you need to buy a new office chair, think again and order this. This is by far the best back pillow I have every owned. I bought an extremely overpriced expensive chair and still had issues. I added this to it and now it's amazing. I even switched to a less expensive chair and this back pillow is perfect.

If it gets below freezing, when you 1st get in the car to sit down, the foam is as hard as a brick and it takes 15 minutes for it to thaw.

As suggested by one user, this works best for my office chair if the cushion is placed upside down -- in that configuration it works great and still is in good condition over 2 years since purchase.
