I have a huge noggin', usually requiring a 7 7/8 size hat for a comfortable fit and I had to use both included adhesive hat size reducers that came with this hat to keep it from sliding down over my ears. Perfect comfortable fit now and looks great. 😊 Good quality felt, very stiff formed brim. Comes in a nice hatbox, which desertcart thoughtfully placed inside a shipping box. Arrived in flawless condition. Do not over-think purchasing this hat, just buy it. Good quality.

I bought this for my son. We have notoriously small heads in the family, so I measured and got what was marked as s-m. It's still just a little big for him, huge on his sister, but a little padding in the band does wonders. Well packaged, well made, nicely felted and formed. My son has a 60 year old wool felted bowler, and I would put this on par with that quality. It's perfect for Steampunk, or just if you're the kind of person who wears what you like. It's not quite opera quality, imo. You almost need silk for that. I may end up buying one for myself.
