Deluxe Hardwood Clothes Valet Stand (Espresso)

I didn't know I needed one of these until I got it. I no longer have the "clothes chair" in my bedroom, and items I want to wear again before washing are not embarrassingly wrinkled. The construction of this unit is probably not as beefy as some costlier ones, but it is adequate and it doesn't take up much space.

Once assembled, it's sturdy and looks ever so much nicer than piling not-quite-dirty clothes on a chair! Pleased. Also, I appreciate the lower height. Less obtrusive.Assembly takes patience for something so simple. You'll need a rubber mallet (covered to protect the wood finish) to get the vertical rails snugly inside the cross beams. Tip: to attach the slim rails, fetch a drill and a few of your own narrow long screws to deepen the existing bolt holes. THEN pop out your screws and screw the bolts in with the included Allen wrench. The first time I tried to screw in the bolts, I heard a little crunch and was afraid the rail would crack. Re-drilling sounds like a pain but only takes a few minutes and is worth it. I got rid of my bedroom chair!

Well made, durable and does exactly what I wanted it to. This is a great purchase!

The first one I received was cracked because it was packaged so poorly. The second one was such poor quality, that my husband had to re-engineer it. The screw holes were not drilled deeply enough, screw holes didn't line up with crossbars and it didn't look like the first which had a smooth wood veneer. The second one was just painted brown. We would have sent it back, but we needed it for a guest arriving today. It also took an hour and a half to re-engineer it. Don't bother with this product.

There was nothing to dislike! It was very easy to put together without tools, just an enclosed allen wrench.

The color is exactly what I wanted, it looks nice, and assembly is pretty straight-forward, but while I was assembling the stand, one of the uprights cracked as I tightened the screw holding the horizontal bar into place (using the tool provided). I am trying to decide whether to return, exchange, or live with it (and hope it doesn't result in the whole thing breaking under the weight of clothing). UPDATE: I contacted the company and they sent a replacement right away. That one assembled with no difficulties and so far, I am very happy with it.

Product went together fairly easy. A few screws were not lined up and I had to force through the hole. And it also had some scratches on it. But overall it’s work for what I needed it for and seems sturdy enough.

Very nice item. Way better than I thought it would be.
