Its ergonomic design with large focus knobs and a soft-touch eyepiece makes it easy for children aged 6-10 to explore microscopic worlds. Complete with a pipette, tweezers, specimen dish, and an interactive lab guide, this kit offers a comprehensive hands-on science experience that inspires learning and creativity. ## Description The National Geographic Explorer Series Microscope makes it easy for kids to explore the microscopic world, with a specially designed microscope and complete STEM lab kit they'll absolutely love! Kids will be able to: Easily use the microscope to view a wide range of specimens. Explore the prepared plant slide, which include onion epidermis, holly leaf, celery leaf, sunflower root, pine pollen, and dandelion seed. Create their own slides using the 6 blank plastic slides and covers in the kit. Investigate the textures of a geode, pyrite, green fluorite, blue calcite, rose quartz, and chevron amethyst. Complete science experiment activities in the fun and interactive lab guide. Have a deeper understanding of the microscopic world around them. The star of the show is the specially-designed microscope for kids. We studied what worked with other microscopes and what didn't, and developed one of easiest microscopes for kids to use. The soft-touch eyepiece is gentle on skin and the large focus knobs are easy for little hands to turn. When focusing, the slide platform moves up and down to help keep the entire microscope more stable and to ensure the specimen remains in the perfect viewing position. The slide storage case integrates into the base of the microscope and a wide-footed base helps keep the microscope firmly in place. Kids can choose from 40x, 100x, or 400x magnification by moving the adjustment lever, and they can switch between an upper light and lower light with the flip of a switch on the back. On top of that this complete science kit includes all the tools kids need to explore like real scientists, including a pipette, specimen dish, tweezers, a pencil, a lab guide, and instructions! It felt lighter than I expected and the focus wasn’t as clear as I’d expected for the price, but it will do as an introduction to microscopes. Review: Good Toy to aid learning for Children - The initial setup was a little long and takes some time to understand how the microscope works, considering that it is very similar to the actual one. But once that part is done, then it is all fun for the kids. My kid loves putting everything under the microscope, even pieces of bread, her hair and every small thing lying around. It does spark an interest in kids about sciences. ## Features - KIDS WILL LOVE THIS MICROSCOPE - Large focus knobs, a soft-touch eyepiece, and an adjustable platform make it easy to keep specimens positioned just right. Three levels of magnification and lights above and below ensure a great view, every time! - FASCINATING SPECIMENS - Kids get 6 prepared plant slides in this microscope kit, along with 6 rocks and minerals, and 6 blank slides to prepare at home! They'll be entertained for hours as they explore the microscopic world with this STEM lab kit! - A COMPLETE SCIENCE EXPERIMENT KIT - With a pipette, specimen dish, tweezers, and easy-to-follow instructions, kids will be able to conduct tons of science experiments, investigating the world around them just like real scientists! - ENTERTAINING LAB GUIDE - Kids will use their microscope to the fullest with the included lab guide, which has viewing activities for several different types of specimens, a super scientist game, and merit badge stickers for a job well done! - HIGH-QUALITY EDUCATIONAL TOYS - We're proud to make the highest quality hands-on science toys, and all our products are backed by exceptional service. It felt lighter than I expected and the focus wasn’t as clear as I’d expected for the price, but it will do as an introduction to microscopes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Toy to aid learning for Children *by K***R on 16 October 2024* The initial setup was a little long and takes some time to understand how the microscope works, considering that it is very similar to the actual one. But once that part is done, then it is all fun for the kids. My kid loves putting everything under the microscope, even pieces of bread, her hair and every small thing lying around. It does spark an interest in kids about sciences. =( ## Frequently Bought Together - National Geographic Microscope for Kids - Science Kit with an Easy-to-Use Kids Microscope, Up to 400x Zoom, Blank and Prepared Slides, Gifts for 6 7 8 9 & 10, STEM Project Toy (Amazon Exclusive) - NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Earth Science Kit – 100+ Science Experiments & Activities for Kids, Crystal Growing, Volcano Science Kit, Rock Collection, STEM Project Toy for Boys & Girls (Amazon Exclusive) - NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Amazing Chemistry Set - Chemistry Kit with 100+ Science Experiments Including Crystal Growing and Reactions, Science Kit for Kids, STEM Gift for Boys and Girls (Amazon Exclusive) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/475786000-national-geographic-microscope-for-kids-science-kit-with-an-easy](https://www.desertcart.be/products/475786000-national-geographic-microscope-for-kids-science-kit-with-an-easy) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
