My m9500 UBD plays DVD’s from USA and UK and Ultra HD BluRay region A just fine.However, this unit does Not play regular Blu-ray disks. It Reads the disk, shows the movie pic & movie name, shows that it recognizes the disc as a Blu-ray disk but then gives the error “Mismatch between disc and player region codes. See disc packaging for details.” I live in the USA and all my Blu-ray are store bought region A and should work like the Ultra Hd Blu-ray’s I have.....but it doesn’t.I Searched user questions and one says that I could manually set the Blu-ray region using the numbers on my remote...the provided remote doesn’t have a numeric keypad and the unit doesn’t prompt me to change the Blu-ray region so not sure how I’m supposed to manually set the region. Instruction book was no help, nothing on the internet for the regionfree unit either. I may be forced to return this since 1/2 my library is Blu-ray disks and I’m not going to buy new just for this thing to do what it should do out of the box!!!VERY Disappointed that I paid $470 on a “region free” unit that isn’t truly region free. Could have gone to local Best Buy and purchased the regular unit for less than 1/2 the cost and that one DOES play Blu-ray disks.

I am going to change my review here at no fault of the player. It does play multiregion, this is true, and it was working nicely for a while, but then I got a new update forced to my player and now I have Cinevia problems. I was told that it was no fault of the player, that my disks are copies, I can assure you they are not. They are 10+ year old DVDs that I bought in legitimate department stores in Australia, but now that I moved to America I cannot play them. I wish there was a magic solution that allowed me to play the content I legally paid for, this player is not the solution.

This player's HDMI output is compatible with my HD-TV and AV-Receiver's input. It allows me to play my 4K discs while I wait to upgrade my TV and Receiver to 4K. Isn't that wonderful!

This player was delivered on time. It was easy to set up and connect to my Samsung TV. I bought a 4K disc of Terminator 2 to see if this player would play it. No problem at all. Good product and the latest model Region Free BluRay player.....

This bluray player is very good. Better quality of image and picture just as I expected. but to have a better sound it has to be installed separately to a receiver sistem which it's much better. The only thing that it get me a little bit mad is because it cannot play blu rays and dvd from other countries. But I think I have to fix that on the web. I haven't done that yet because I didn't have time. But I will do that soon. But in conclusion this Samsung bluray player M9500 UHD It's the best in the market today. *****

Love this region free DVD player so far only played UK DVDs haven’t had an issue. Works great with our Samsung smart tv turns tv on if player is turned on and off if turned off.

This product switches from PAL to NTSC [and vice versa] automatically when a disc is inserted. Therefore not only have I got the two on the one player but I don't even have to check which kind of disc I'm loading into it . I just sit back and enjoy it.

I understand Samsung doesn't make DVD players anymore. If you can find a new one buy it, this player is fantastic. I have it hooked up to my Samsung 65 inch 8 k set. The picture is unbelievable. I thought my blu ray player was good but this is heads and above. It is pricey but if you are into movies this is the one to get.
