This is made from small bits of the leaves from sencha. This green tea was selected for its superior quality and flavour. It is grown in the Uji district in Kyoto, the most famous tea growing region in Japan

So very delicious green tea
I bought this through Amazon from Very Asia, and was hoping to find a new delicious brand of green tea. Oh boy, I was not disappointed! To start with, Konacha is "sushi style" green tea, gathered from the broken particles of Japanese loose-leaf green tea. Think of the yummy broken bits you get when you finish a box of breakfast cereal -- Konacha is the equivalent for Japanese tea. (When I make normal green tea, I love to sprinkle the broken bits of tea at the bottom of the pouch into the teapot after brewing is done, to give it a yummy kick!)This product is a 100 gram pouch, machine-sealed at both ends. Use scissors to open; to reseal, use a bag clip or pour the tea into another (airtight) tea container. The pouch itself is nice to look at, enough so that I'm actually considering pinning an empty one to the wall as art appreciation.Brewing is relatively easy compared to some other green teas. If you are using a typical teapot, measure the same or slightly less tea than usual (a slightly heaping teaspoon or about 2-3 grams), heat water to between 140 degrees F (just barely scalding) to 180 degrees F (rumbling when heating), then pour over this tea and let brew for only 2 to 4 minutes. Vary the recipe according to your tastes and equipment.Because this tea contains some fine particles of various sizes, a course or medium wire mesh tea filter is likely to let too much through. Consider using a fine-mesh filtered teapot or paper tea filters. I found the Adagio Ingenuitea Teapot (which has a fine-mesh plastic filter built in) to be excellent for this tea.The resulting tea is deep-green color with a hint of yellow, and has a robust leafy taste with a mild natural sweetness. Although I won't say that it is the best-of-the-best, this still compares favorably to the tea served by some upscale Japanese restaurants, and among the best I've had at home!

Surprised
There wasn't a lot of taste and very fine as the crushed leaves will leak out. You will need filter mesh in addition to your steeper.

Nice
Love green tea at the japanese restaurant and tried many off the supermarket shelf with no good results. This is a mild, pleasant green tea that I can drink every day.
