Its flimsy for sure.
Update: 12/9/2016. So straight up this company emailed me and issued and immediate refund on my purchase after I posted the video review about this product. I'm impressed not only with the reply but it was obvious they even watched the video and in the email let me know they would be reviewing the manufacturing processes and making improvements to make a better product. I can't tell you how impressed I am. This is exactly what a successful company does! Just to reiterate I don;t think the product is a bad idea at all, in fact like I say in the video it's a damn good idea that needs manufacturing improvements. If they make some changes to this products design and materials it will be an awesome product even if it's twice the price since there is nothing else quite like what is can offer.Previouse comments: It's not exactly sturdy but it might do the job on a table or possibly your lap. There is NO way. I mean NO way I would use this with the legs fully extended as its shown in one of the images, and several of the configurations resulted in the laptop tipping forward or backwards. It's sketchy at best... The overall design is for the most part good, its the materials that hinder this product from being great. Frankly it needs to be like $59 and they need to improve the build quality. I can't see myself setting my $1500 laptop on this. I plan was to use it on a desk lifting the laptop up so I can stand and use it - you can't do this it's too flimsy for that. I thought maybe I could have my son use it with his gaming chair that sits lower to the floor - you can't do this either as it tips forward with any pressure on on it in that configuration. Now that I see I paid $38 for this instead of like $15 dollars, back to Amazon it goes, I see this lasting like less than a week and the cheap manufacturing of it just falling apart. .

While the surface is very slick and a mouse will slide off if it is not perfectly level they do a great job otherwise
Bought one of these and used it for a week, then I later bought another. While the surface is very slick and a mouse will slide off if it is not perfectly level they do a great job otherwise. I use them in a wide variety of situations but the use that I love is as a raised platform for my keyboard so I can stand at my desk. I added two SOJITEK Black Mousepad Attachable to Folding Laptop Notebook Tray Book Stand - DOES NOT INCLUDE LAPTOP STAND to hold my mouse and a phone stand Cell Phone Stand, Lamicall S1 Universal Cradle, Dock, Holder, Stand : For all Android Smartphone, iPhone 6 6s 7 Plus 5 5s 5c charging, Accessories Desk - Black that perfectly matches. When I sit down I don't even move it, no need, I can still function perfectly allowing me to move effortlessly from the sitting to standing position and back again effortlessly. If you are looking for a very cheap way of creating a stand up option at your desk, that also allows you to use it in many other scenarios, then look no further then these products.By the way, I'm 5" 7" but the lapdesk will fold into many configurations that should accommodate most shorter and taller people.

I have used this desk to stand at my computer ...
I have used this desk to stand at my computer and have used it sitting in bed too. It takes some getting use to with adjusting the legs to get them right. The mouse pad area if you are using at an angle has no little stop to keep the mouse from falling off. I had to buy a pad that has the wrist rest to use with this stand so the mouse would stay. I have a Mac that is 13" and is light weight and this stand works well for that. The stand is plastic for the most part and I don't think a laptop much bigger or heavier then what I have would be very study.

Perfect for what it is.
I chose this model over some of the other ones because I liked the wider base, and bigger mouse area. And I'm happy I did. Figuring out the leg positions can be tricky, and there is some guess work to find the right position where it doesn't tip over. There is some Flex in the middle, and the fans are quite loud, but I only really run the fans for gaming, while I'm wearing headphones anyway. It's great for both sitting or laying in bed. As a supplementary desk raiser, it wasn't the best. But still worked great. After trying the product negative reviews I've read lead me to believe these people either have heavier laptops (over 6/7 pounds) or just expected more out of it for what it is. I was looking for a surface to use my laptop while laying in bed where I could get the laptop up off of my lap, and it works great for that. And the fans help keep things cool. My 15" laptop does overhang a little bit, so the fans aren't as effective as they could be. But there's definitely more cooling happening with it then if I were to run without it.

Just what I was looking for! Great for anyone with any kind of disability!
Just received it and found it solved my immediate problems. Its adjustable in so many ways its hard to even fathom! I have it with legs down and to the back resting on my recliner seat. I can put my feet up on the recliner and my laptop stays at an even level in front of me as if I was still typing on my tray table in front of me with my feet dangling. I haven't used the fans yet but I will. I can see this will help me in many different situations in my home and outdoors!

List Of Pros & Cons
Not a bad product just not a good fit for me. I ended up returning it & getting a full refund. Here's a list of Pros & Cons....Pros -Has ventilation for ur laptop. Enough space for a mousepad to fit. Light weight. Does the job for the most part.Cons -Legs were difficult to get in the perfect position & once I did I felt like they were in the way anyway. Was a little awkward to use, couldn't sit comfortably w/it. And, seemed a little flimsy to me.

Excellent, sturdy product in comparison to competitor products
We've tried out several aluminum laptop trays before, but this is one of the best ones out there and worth the extra few $. The others break easily and aren't as sturdy. Almost as important is the mouse section. This one is very stable unlike the laptop tables that has the mouse section that hooks on. Those are flimsy and will not hold up to regular home use. Overall 5 stars. Also arrived on time. No complaints at all.
