Downsides are that friends at the sailing club say that they have had ones that have popped out of case and sunk, so they put tape from the edge of watch to hold it to the case - but I haven't found this problem and been getting perfect starts in the races since using this watch! A must get.

**Q: does timer beep every minute**
A: In countdown mode it beeps every minute and during the last minute it beeps every 10 seconds. In the last 10 seconds it beeps each second with a long tone at zero.

**Q: Can the timer be set to 3 minutes ? ( or multiples of 1 minute..)**
A: Timer programmes are available in 5,4,1,0 followed by 5mins, 3mins,1min.

**Q: is there an option to mute the beeper while using countdown mode?**
A: Yes

**Q: Is the watch waterproof or water resistant?**
A: Yes, it is. Never used mine to dive, but works fine for sailing and kiting.

Highly recommended! Good quality, clear screen, waterproof, floats in the water, comfortable strap. Downsides are that friends at the sailing club say that they have had ones that have popped out of case and sunk, so they put tape from the edge of watch to hold it to the case - but I haven't found this problem and been getting perfect starts in the races since using this watch! A must get.

I use the watch for kite foil racing. I love how big the numbers are so easy to read with sunglasses on while being sprayed with water, also I use reading glasses normally so the big display really helps. The buttons are big and easy to operate despite all the chaos going around me at the start. Plus the audible beeps in the final minute tell me when the start is without looking. This watch nails it. Pricey though.
