Very smooth in operation, sharp and good looking. To address the previous review about the “authenticity of the Damascus blades” As a machinist and metal worker who works with all types of steels etc, etc.. They are, from what I can tell, clearly by the lack of consistency in the pattern, real and not laser etched or “painted”. The review used the part ground down in the mechanism as means of “proof” when in fact anyone who has worked with Damascus knows you will not see the pattern in Damascus untill the blade is etched in ferric chloride etc etc first to bring out the pattern in the material.. hence grinding off a part of the material will cause it to disappear… sooo.. yeah.. they are very real.. Great knives. Get one for yourself you’ll be pleasantly surprised by its quality.
