This looked a little weird at first but after reading other's reviews, I decided to buy this for use around the house during power outages. For that matter, I might take it into work as we've had 3 outtages in the last several months and I have no lighting in my area when the power goes out.I charged this up and tried it out in a completely darkened room. I was quite surprised by the level of light this LED unit puts out. It was bright enough to read a book by quite easily. The shape of the rounded part did a good job of dispersing the light so that I could easily see when walking and not risk tripping over anything. I really like how the usb port on the side can actually be used to charge my cell phone if it ever became necessary. This light can actually function as a power bank. The unit is small but powerful and has a clip to hang it if desired - this is handy for a tent.

I purchased this to power a usb device, but found that it has many other purposes. I will probably be taking it camping.

This thing is awesome! Bought it for a Wildland firefighter/camper & she loves it! EXTREMELY bright & last a long time when charged. She used to use 2 lamps to light her tent, now she only uses this 1 light.

Pretty neat. Wasn't what I thought I ordered but put it with my camping gear for later. We'll see. Definitely could be useful!

Despite the fact that this is a camping light, I'm using it to solve my interior design challenge. I have a couple of end tables that I want to put lamps on, but there are no electrical outlets anywhere nearby.This product gets me 90% of the way to a solution - it's bright, it's USB rechargeable, it lasts a decent time - ~6 hours. The only problem is that it the light doesn't turn on if the light is not plugged into the wall. There is an off/on switch, but it's building into the little hanging cover.I finally figured out that you can get this light to turn on while it is plugged into a lamp by connected the two ends of the lamp plug to each other. This triggers whatever sensor makes it think there is a power outage, and lets me having decent reading lamps without any electrical outlets.
