Haoweiming Smart IR Remote Control Adapt for Android Smart Phone, Mini Infrared Universal Control Hub,All in One for Air Conditioner/TV/DVD/STB (Type C)

This works great with my Galaxy S8. I was able to plug in the USB-C adapter and install the zazaremote app and get it working without any issues. I've set it up for several of my Tv's, DVD player, and android tv boxes. There was only one of my Android tv boxes (trongle X1) that didn't have the remote control available in the apps database. I was able to use the DIY option in zazaremote to get this remote working (just takes awhile to program every single button). My Leelbox Q1 Master worked using the Amlogic ott-box. I was also able to customize the remote layouts fine. I've been happy with this adapter so far and it seems to be the best option for the galaxy S8 since Samsung decided to stop including an IR blaster in their phones.One thing I'd like to see improved is a version of this that just barely sticks outside of the phone. As it is now, I won't leave this plugged into my phone all the time. Also I am unable to use the dash "-" key when manually entering any channel on my Tv's (12-4 for example). The button is showing up, it just does nothing when pressed.

I upgraded not too long ago from a HTC One M8 to a HTC 10. But I was getting annoyed by the fact that this great phone doesn't have a IR Blaster. I used the IR mostly to troll so it kinda sucked not having it. I then ordered a audio jack IR blaster, and none of the three worked, even on iPhones. So I bought this and so far have no regrets. I remember reading the range and thought that was BS, so I tested the range. I opened my front door and walked from the backyard (my kitchen) to almost the lawn and was still able to turn off the tv. No regrets buying it.

I've had other IR blasters, and used the built-in ones on my phones that were equipped. This one is a good compact size, and has excellent range. I've been using it about a week so far, and it's the best one yet.I like the way the app tests 1-3 buttons to make sure it is using the correct code group for the brand you are setting up.

Works extremely well, but to much plastic surrounding the USB plug makes it impossible to use on a phone with a case.

This thing works great. The app is pretty chinglish, but its decipherable.

worked as advertised with TV and sound bar. Major problem was that it does not fit on my phone (Note 8) when my case (otterbox) is on.

The smart IR Remote is a very useful gadget. It works good. Easy to use through the app. I would definitely buy again. I had one break because they are kind of fragile. I contacted the company and they sent me another right away. Great customer service and a good product that actual works.
