I was so pleased with the quality of this paper! It was a joy to paint on with my sumi ink. The strokes went on clearly, beautifully and easily with no running or smudging. Colors were bright and the finished product looked extremely professional. I highly recomment this package of paper for both students and professionals.

My child used this for his first Chinese watercolor painting class. He was supposed to paint a peacock and it turned out to be a turkey. The material of the paper is between shou xuan and raw xuan. As a result it absorbs water easily.

Beautiful pre-mounted paper, excellent for painting small, delicate scenes. Which you can give right to friends as is for them to frame. Very convenient. I will enjoy these very much. Hmay is a great company. The product was well packaged and arrived intact.

The shuen paper is high quality and takes ink very well. Excellent for calligraphy and painting subjects.

Used for calligraphy. However wrong color was sent. Wanted silver circle number 15. Got 18. No descriptions in color choices make it difficult to see differences.

This paper is thick enough to stand on its own an does not wrinkle at all. Compared to regular thin single-layer xuan paper used for practice, this needs a lot more ink. Even with a good amount of ink on the brush, i was still able to get nice dry-brush effects.
