If you want to measure stuff, then then buy this product, if you don't want to measure stuff then don't buy it. It seems to work very well. Great feature is that it auto locks when extending and you press the button to retract it- makes it very easy to measure long lengths by yourself. The metal tape is quite sturdy and doesn't bend and wobble for quite a distance of extension. Does exactly what a tape measure should do. Having Metric and Imperial measurements is very useful, I do have to wonder why all tape measures do not do this. Seems like a no brainer in this world when even in America there are times when you might need to use the metric system.Piece of advice- If your a guy and you've told your wife or girlfriend you have 12 inches and you don't really have that much, don't whatever you do tell her that you bought this, because this tape measure could easily expose your exaggerations and seriously deflate your ego.

I wanted a 25' tape measure to use around the house. I frequently do things on my own and it's just too time consuming to keep using my knitting tape measure that is small and only 5'. I was able to easily measure the 74' windowsill on my own and to measure the fabric needed to make the correct size curtains. Didn't think I would use it much but I use it much more frequently than I thought.It is very sturdy, well made and extremely easy to read. Bright side is that it has SF Giants colors and the bright orange makes it easy to find when I forget where I laid it down. I wouldn't recommend letting small children use it because once you release the lock, it winds up quickly and small children may leave their fingers in a spot where they may get pinched. Other than small children, I highly recommend this tape measure to everyone for any use.

Pretty good. It measures accuratly. Good value.The lock feature is nice and works well, the releases are well placed. It is a little oversized, it's not a tape measure you put in your pocket. The orange is nice too, makes it easy to see when you have supplies spread out.Do not prefer over Stanley, but like well enough and appreciate the value for the price.

This is a great measuring tape, just what I wanted. I mostly use metric measurements because they make way more sense, but I live in the US which uses the old imperial system so sometimes I have to follow instructions in feet and inches. This measuring tape has both measurements on it, but even better, for the rare occasions where you are hooked to something and can see the back better than the front, it has the same measurements on the back as on the front.I could not recommend it more.

The hook mounting holes were punched into the tape in the wrong place. Using the hook, either for inside or outside measurements, gives a reading that is too small by 3/32 inch or about 2 mm. That is not too bad if measuring a room for carpet, but is totally unacceptable for fine carpentry, which would have been my main use for this tape. So I am returning it for a refund, since it is likely that all of this product is mass-produced with the same error.Another issue, a design flaw, is that the tape cannot be used to measure a gap between two parallel surfaces, like between the walls of a room. The rear of the housing is not flat and is not any particular even inch distance from the front, a feature common on American-designed tapes with inch markings.The auto-lock and dual release buttons work fine and the stand-out before the tape collapses is adequate. The pair of magnets built into the hook is a nice touch that could be useful sometime. The tape markings are clear and the mm marks line up correctly with the inch marks (254 mm = 10 inches). I can't say how long it might last before it breaks, of course.Correctly locating those punched holes for the hook is not space station science, so it is surprising that such a defective product would be made, let alone sold on Amazon or anywhere else.

As soon as I started unwrapping it from the plastic shipping bag, I had a bad feeling. The smell of mothballs mixed with chemicals filled my nostrils. I decided to keep on going and slid the package out of the shipping bag. I kept on going and took the measuring tape completely out of its original packaging. The smell got worse. I measured a few things and decided I could not handle it. It's currently airing out in the far corner of my garage. Never before have I had to air out a tool prior to use. Other than the toxic smell, the tape glides very smoothly and I was impressed at how grippy it is. I should also mention that I had to wash my hands after using this. I hope the smell goes away in the next couple days.

Very pleased with this tape measure. It automatically locks in place when you pull out the tape -- no clamp mechanism to engage -- and the feature works very well. Two release mechanisms at different locations on the unit so that it can be held in different positions without losing functionality. Very well-built and durable (so far after a couple months). Bright color scheme so it will not get lost easily. Overall, a very good purchase that I expect to last many years.

I recently brought the home and. doing some remodel work at the home . Its very hard to measure something using the normal tape. This gives a nice and good feel about the tape. Material is good and pull out the tape smoothly and closes properly.

Ce ruban est exactement ce que j'espérais, excepté pour le bouton du dessous. Quand le ruban est posé au sol par exemple, il se replie automatiquement. J'aurai preféré un peu plus de matière autour pour pouvoir le poser confortablement.
