Doesn't Meet Its Own or SCAA Temperature Spec.
First, I like the styling and functionality of the Wilfa and would love to keep it, BUT -1. Its supposed to brew at 197.6F per Wilfa's own manual. The SCAA specification is 200F +/-5. On several uses, this starts at 180F and slowly works its way up to 192-194F. For the price, this is a basic requirement Wilfa should meet.2. Coffee kept in the carafe is only warm. Coffee needs heating to be enjoyable.Others Observations-1. Why the long spout/tube down into the coffee urn from the lid. This is a small orifice, would be hard to clean, and sits in the coffee and must be washed after use? Does the long tube serve a meaningful purpose?2. The on - off switch should be on the front instead of the side. More counter space is needed since nothing can be placed close to the left side of the Wilfa.3. Are both legs of the stand holding the coffee ground contaniner needed? If one was cut out then the urn could be removed and replaced via the front instead having to use a sidewards motion. Having to move the urn sidewards requires more counter space.4. The container for the grounds is awkward to remove and put in to the brewing position. The little tabs dont guide the grounds container well and may be prone to breakage.5. The lid over the grounds container doesnt sit flat because the little handle by which one holds it also allows the lid to tilt up. The lid then gets in the way when returning the grounds container into the brewing position.6. The shower head doesn't seem large enough to wet the grounds. Its seems small for the area the grounds are below it.7. The base could be more space efficient. Could be smaller and still do the jobSo very close, but for the money, not quite there.

Not a quality machine.
This coffee maker makes a great cup of coffee when it actually works. The problem is every couple days the coffee maker won’t make a full pot. I’m constantly having to clean the machine cause I thing the copper tubes get clogged? I have no idea. This morning I tried to make a full pot and it stopped after only 1/4 of the resivoir.

Pump burns up.
Love the concept, makes a great cup of coffee, looks cool on the counter, BUT the pump that is in the base of the coffee maker, that forces the water up and into the filter, continues to burn up. This is the 3rd replacement. Time to get the cash back.

two shipped and two returned.
I bought one of these coffee makers. It wouldn't turn on. I returned it and bought another. This one turned on, but there was something goofy about the wiring. There's a power switch that worked, a solid light and a blinking light. It blinked when it was powered on but not brewing. That's annoying AF. The light was solid when it was running. After several says the paint started chipping off the filter holder. Big flakes that got everywhere. I had not put the holder in the dishwasher. Had only been washed by hand. The vendor was very helpful with the first unit but did not respond to my questions about the second one. I would have been fine if they just traded me a filter holder. But they didn't respond so the second went back. I'd say keep your money and buy something else.

All bad
Non functioning product. Worked twice then did not turn on.Followed the return instructions in the manual which stated “return to your local William Sonoma” store. They refused to take it.Piece of crap AND lousy customer service.Aside from looking good on your counter it’s a ripoff.

You need this!
My husband didn’t believe me when I said “I need this” but now we both can’t live without it.I appreciate the design it’s beautiful, works great, guests that come over think it looks really cool. We love it ... we even named it.

Worst customer service possible.
Nicely designed machine from a company that provides the WORST customer service imaginable. When my carafe broke, the good folks in Norway referred me to a drone in the US who simply could not and would not answer my request to buy a replacement. When I pushed him he mouthed off to me. So the public face of the company in the US is rude, inefficient and a disaster. Now the entire purchase is worthless because I cannot get a replacement part. Be warned. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT.

Good Coffee but too many quirks
I have brewed a couple hundred pots and am happy with the coffee taste never the less I am going to replace it because of the frustration with it's various functioning quirks. You have to blot out excess water from the carafe because the plastic lip on top does not allow it to drain completely. After pouring the first cup and letting the remaining brewed coffee sit in the carafe for a bit when pouring the second cup you will first see condensation from the lid on the carafe pour out. I do not care for the mechanism in the filter holder, needs a better design to stop drips and I think it is the cause of a few overflows out the top of the filter holder. The filter holder has a slotted surface it, coffee residue does build up in these slots. it is tedious to clean.
