Excellent Security Camera System
Extremely satisfied with this security camera system. The image quality is crystal clear day and night, the motion detection works great, and the setup process was very easy. Everything feels secure, reliable, and very high quality. Being able to monitor the property remotely gives great peace of mind, and the battery life is impressive. Definitely one of the best purchases for home security. Highly recommended. 📹🏡👏

Color me impressed
After six months of using this surveillance system, I can confidently share my experience, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. My initial motivation for an upgrade stemmed from the outdated, cumbersome head end of my old hardwired camera system under the front porch. The struggle was real, especially with the lack of support for newer Windows OS. My expectations for the porch camera were initially low due to its lack of direct sunlight. To my surprise, the built-in solar panel proved to be a game-changer, keeping the camera consistently charged with ambient sunlight. Despite the limited sunlight, it only triggers 1 to 2 alerts a week, showcasing impressive efficiency. Contrastingly, the garage camera, basking in direct sunlight, handles 10 to 20 alerts daily. Even as fall reduces daylight, it maintains a solid 70% charge. Considering my home's 12-inch thick insulated concrete walls, the impeccable signal strength from the home unit inside the kitchen pantry is noteworthy. The garage camera, facing 2 interior walls, 1 exterior wall, and the garage door, experiences no signal issues. The AI recognition feature is commendable, excelling at detecting individuals from various angles, not just head-on views. Night vision performs well, falling between good and spectacular, with room for improvement in IR light coverage. While the camera's IR lights are effective within a close range, additional IR repeaters can enhance night vision for broader coverage. The daytime picture quality is truly spectacular, and the well-crafted app enhances the overall user experience. Setup is a breeze, and the app's speed, even on mobile networks, is praiseworthy. Motion detection sensitivity can be adjusted, a handy feature for my garage camera dealing with wind-induced false alerts. The ability to draw a detection zone is a great feature, although adjusting points on the phone's outer edges can be cumbersome. A PC interaction option would be beneficial for certain tasks, as some actions are more convenient with a mouse. A notable feature request would be a scheduler to define "do not disturb" periods, especially during high-traffic times when unnecessary alerts are a hindrance. Lastly, the camera mounts require a firm tightening to prevent movement over time. Despite this, I highly recommend this system and plan on purchasing more units.

Best Wireless Security Cameras!!
I would like to take this moment to say this camera system is definitely worth the cost. This is based off of the quality of service, ease of operation, and variety of features! I was impressed at the price I got it, since it was on discount, because I wanted a system that still offered a base for local storage without having to pay for a subscription! After using it for some time now, the quality of the images and videos are amazing and have a variety of recording settings. The app and website are get features included with this setup and work great! Allows me to customize the setup however I please and without a problem connecting to the hub! There are so many great features I could mention but since I’m limited I’ll say that the last favorite feature is the alarm setup when there is motion or if someone is trying to move your cameras!

Not completely reliable
Update: Sept 5, 2024 After 1 year of usage *Super unreliable software upgrade. ** Mobile app does not show motion detection on the events tab consistently. **Super unreliable support staff (takes 24 hr after each email communication (with each reply of just one question or answer) no consistent communication. ***Super unreliable system as a whole. May be good only until the warranty period. If you think you are saving money with no monthly payment and securing your home (just wait until your warranty expires) they will treat you worse than a 3rd world country customer service staff. It has been over a week and they have not been able to figure out why and how all of my cameras stopped showing the motion detection on the event tab of the phone (after the recent update). They don't accept the responsibility of their software update error rather assume on whether the camera was fully charged etc? As a security system: your job should be to make your customer feel secure; if you fail on that — you have failed yourself, not us. Customer can always fire you by buying another product of another reliable brand. And, thanks for your slowest customer service. ----------------------------------------------------- The review below was reviewed previously (previous year) It is a 5 star product but 1 star less for not customer friendly customer service. 1 star less for inconsistent service and video quality when we zoom the video. The BAD: It's well designed and built with some defects. 1. Camera shows connected but fails to detect motion consistently (1 to 2 times) each month. Not just 1 camera but all. There was no videos for motion detected events two days straight. 2. Anti theft alarm does not work unless someone completely screws off the camera and starts to shake it off. I thought my 1 camera was like that and got the replacement but it turns out ALL cameras are dumb like that. 3. Replacement was sent with prepaid USPS label, my work schedule did not work with USPS schedule and I asked if I could get UPS label but I was TOLD to drop it today to avoid the warranty. I had to praise his customer service skills. 4. Image/ Video is only good when it is not zoomed in. Even in just 4X zoom it cannot even see the face properly (forget 8X zoom) but the way it is advertised is you can even see a grain. 5. Very low level alarm sound. Only thief shaking the camera (not unscrewing the camera - because camera don't make noise until you shake it) will hear it. There was a cable guy installing the cable in my house, he accidently hit the camera and it turned upside the alarm was so low I did not hear inside the house and only realized after 30 mins of Installation was completed. Now The GOOD: 1. Motion detection is quiet good if installed properly - it works. 2. Night vision is good- but battery drains fast if used in color night vision mode 3. Easy installation 4. No monthly fees. But it has its cost. I ended up using professional monitoring service also because this is not fully reliable.

Pretty Good System - UPDATED: Camera Failed
I live on a street with a lot of traffic. Out front cameras drained quick with vehicle detection turned on. Tried using an activity zone for just my driveway area but it still seems to detect cars out in the street. Person detection works off and on it seems. Got 1 video of a relative leaving (no face shown). Camera didnt detect them walking up when their face was actually showing. My Wyze cameras in my window caught them both, which is how I confirmed the Eufy camera botched the motion/human detection. I wouldnt recommend these for high motion areas (like a city) as the batteries can drain quick as they constantly pick up motion. Backyard cameras in constant sun, with little motion, stay charged and seem to work as they should. False positives on picking up sunlight reflecting off my grill or pool water as “motion”, but not awful. These also do need to be within 30ft of the Homebase. They DO NOT use your wireless network for communication to the Homebase. Hope that is a feature added in future builds. Cameras do not communicate well through block walls, windows, and other obstructions. I had to position mine with maximum of 1 wall between base and cameras mounted outside. You can purchase multiple Homebases to put near each camera, but that gets pricey. Batteries stay charged pretty well as long as they catch at least a few hours of direct sunlight each day. No issues there. 1 camera gets maybe 2 hours worth and still hangs between 90-95% charge. More motion it detects, it can drop to 80-85%, but thats 1-2 days of high activity. Full sunlight cameras stay 97-100%. But, the more detections, the faster it drains. Keep that in mind. Overall? Pretty good. 8.0/10. Sleek looking and very clean design. I’ve had them up for 2 months so far. Hoping the white holds up to fading/discoloration. I wouldn’t buy them again though, as I need always-recording cameras, which these cameras do not do (obviously, as they run on batteries). I bought cheaper Wyze cameras and installed them inside-looking-outside in window frames. They are plugged into 110v outlets so they have constant power and record 24/7. If I lose power, they go bye-bye though. Pro’s and Con’s. UPDATED: Cameras must have been waiting for this review to start failing. 2 of 4 cameras are refusing to charge with solar or cable. 1 has died completely and will not turn on at all. Used several different cables, several different charging bricks, Homebase charging port and Eufy USB-C cable… it will not charge or turn on. No lights, holding SYNC will not turn it on, etc. Other camera battery down to 7% and will not charge by solar or cable either. DO NOT use the custom setting. I repeat… DO NOT USE. This drains a full battery in 2-3 days, even with only minimal motion detections. No clue why, but it does warn that it can drain the battery. Stupid me. 2 of 4 cameras won’t charge anymore because of it. Odd side-effect. Looking to return the whole setup. Batteries do not survive anything other than a setting that has very few/very little motion. I’m sticking with my $40 Wyze always-record cameras mounted inside my windows pointed outside. Quality isnt 4k? But they cost x20 less and can record 24/7 without the threat of dying or having to be charged by cable consistently because there is too much motion going on. UPDATE: I was able to get with Eufy support this morning. Being passed to their engineering team. The camera, after sitting on a charger for 2 days and holding the SYNC button for 10 seconds last night, seems to have powered on finally. But, the light flickers red, then turns blue and blinks 4 times and turns off. This process repeats every 5-6 seconds. I cannot seem to find a blink code pattern in their troubleshooting/setup guides that explains it. 1st level Eufy support didn't know either. I assume the other camera that is refusing to charge will eventually die and have this same issue. I will update this review as more progress is made. Still a "Would Not Recommend".

Exactly product, easy setup
Great product, works exactly as described. Easy setup makes it’s nice for electronic challenged people like me.🤓 I have several eufy security cameras at my residence that I could review when I am out of town. Nice peace of mind.

I love everything about this Eufy S330 camera system
I love this Eufy S330 camera system. It fits my two main requirements: 1. wireless and 2. No monthly subscription. Installation was straight forward. These cameras have a lot of configuration settings (a good thing) and it took me a little while to find out how to adjust the settings (I had a nice conversation with AI on my PC to determine where to find all the camera settings). The picture quality is great - much better than my older security camera system. I'm really surprised that a few reviews mention ads when using the app. The Eufy app works great and I haven't seen a single ad. The base system has a slot for adding 2.5" SSD memory that uses SATA interface. It was great that I was able to use a 2.5" SSD memory drive left over from my last PC update. A small amount of memory is provided without adding SSD memory but I feel safer having the additional memory. I installed two of the S330 cameras under the eaves of my ranch house and I hung the other two cameras from gutter clips (sold separately from other vendors). Each camera does have a light that you can choose to turn on or not. The light isn't bright enough to use as a walk-way light but it is powerful enough to give color to night vision. But you don't need the light to get great black and white night vision. Even though I installed SSD memory, I periodically delete most videos which are just me walking around the house or mowing the lawn. lt's easy to delete videos using the app. While the S330 cameras are exactly what I wanted, I did add one Solocam S340 to the system. I'm not reviewing it here other to say that it's great how it can move. Its AI system keeps the camera centered on moving objects.

Amazing purchase for the Value
To preface this review, I'd like to emphasize that my assessment is based on my specific requirements and the setup of my smart home. Pros: 1. The camera's sound quality is truly remarkable. Even when positioned at approximately 22 feet (although I do not recommend such elevation), the audio remains clear. 2. The setup process is refreshingly straightforward. However, it's essential to highlight that you should not mount the cameras until you have carefully reviewed the instructions. Syncing with the Base Station is a prerequisite before mounting them. 3. The array of configuration options is impressively extensive, offering significant customization of settings. 4. Local recording is available at no additional cost, and there are no hidden features that require extra purchases. 5. The ability to manage local storage and automatically replace older recordings with new ones is a practical feature. 6. Integration with Alexa announcements functions seamlessly. 7. The solar charging capability is quite impressive. Despite initial skepticism, after a month of use, I have observed my cameras reaching only about 88% charge, quickly returning to 100% before nightfall. This is particularly noteworthy for those on the East Coast with shorter daylight hours during winter. 8. The camera's extensive view, as advertised, with its 135-degree field of vision, eliminates the need for pan and tilt features when multiple cameras are in use. Three of these cameras can cover the same range, if not more. 9. It boasts a built-in floodlight that is notably bright and can be triggered by motion. Cons: 1. Facial recognition functions most effectively when the camera is positioned approximately 10 feet above the ground. However, this height may expose the camera to potential tampering, making it more accessible. 2. Unfortunately, the camera cannot be viewed within the Amazon Alexa App, which may inconvenience users who rely on the app for centralized control. 3. Regrettably, there is no integration with Smartthings, limiting its compatibility within broader smart home ecosystems. 4. The Base Station's functionality and options for storage and recorded content are notably limited. There's room for improvement in providing users with more comprehensive video editing and archival solutions. Presently, everything is controlled through the camera, rendering recorded content inaccessible during camera downtime, which may leave users feeling somewhat restricted. 5. The rear mount can be inconvenient, limiting camera placement. It would be beneficial if they offered an elbow extension to facilitate positioning. FYI: 1. It's worth mentioning that, since this is a locally recorded system, the camera's performance heavily relies on the Base Station being positioned approximately 50 feet away. If the Base Station is located in a basement, it may lead to intermittent connection drops between the camera and Base Station, resulting in choppy performance. While not necessarily a con, it's an inherent limitation. The documentation suggests using extenders to address this issue, although I haven't personally tested this solution yet. 2. As previously noted, my initial camera placement at over 20 feet had to be adjusted. I eventually settled for a height of approximately 12 to 15 feet. This change compromised facial recognition capabilities but highlighted the camera's impressive image quality. 3. The extensive 135-degree field of vision, while a pro, has its con: focusing can be challenging. For instance, if the camera is turned to a 90-degree angle with a wall nearby, the floodlight may illuminate the wall and cause the camera to focus on it, rather than on objects on the other side. This specificity in configuring the field of vision can detract from its overall appeal.

Easy to install. (I purchased the Holicfun gutter mounts to attach them to my eavestrough.) The cameras provide a clear picture.
