Got this for my 5 1/2 yr old and we both love it. I wanted something that could be driven on the grass so that we wouldn't have to be driving it in the street, and it's great so far. He even accidentally drove it down our wooden stairs, and fortunately nothing broke, so it seems pretty durable. The battery seems to be lasting longer than I thought it would as well. I'm not sure how long exactly, but definitely lasting a bit longer than the 30 minutes I think most of these do, although I suppose it depends on what it's being used for. Since it's freezing and snowing outside at the moment, we're mostly making jumps and piles of books to drive over. I want one for myself now!

I got this for my 5 year old son for Christmas. I planned on charging it overnight before we gave it to him Christmas morning but it got too late and I forgot about it. Big mistake... it takes 8 hours to charge the NiCad battery the initial time! (directions say 5-6 hours after that) NiCad batteries suck. I would have gladly paid more money for a lithium ion battery. In the directions, there is a pictogram for installing the NiCad battery pack and one for installing 4 AA batteries. I thought "Cool, he can still use the car while the battery pack is charging!" Nope. The pictogram lies. You can NOT install any other batteries besides the battery pack. And the last thing that was annoying was the battery pack itself is a pain to plug in and get in the right position in order for the cover to close over it. It wouldn't be a big deal if there was a charging port somewhere on the car, but there isn't, so when the battery dies you get to get out your screw driver, open the lid, struggle to unplug it, plug it into the charger, wait all day (the charger does not let you know when it's charged either, so you have to time it), struggle to plug it back in and close the lid, then your kid can play with the car. Once you get to that point, the car is fine. The battery life seems to be pretty good and it is fairly easy to use for young drivers. And it's not really fast, which is what I was hoping for since my kid is 5. He likes it. Time will tell how durable it is. My guess is not so much since it's all Chinese plastic.

My son's loved this RC car! We have a lot of different terrain and they are really rough on toys, so this has been fun and durable for them! It did well on our rocks, grass and dirt areas. They like to clean it up so they can play with it inside as well. I'm not an RC car expert, but my son's complimented the shocks. They also thought it was really fast, which they were hoping for! They have come home each day after school and this is the first thing they go for! We may just have to buy another because they love playing with it so much!

got this for my nephew ( 7 years old), he loves it and he hasn't broken it yet. bought another one for his younger brother (5 years old). if they haven't broken their cars in a month it will be a miracle. will give more feed back latter. this is the only car I saw with 5 stars. I hope it lives up to its ratting, only time will tell.

Very impressed! I have bought at least 5 different RC cars in the past year. I have spent $100 on most of the RC cars and this one is better than the $100 RC cars. It has lasted longer and has had no problems. Definitely worth buying for your kids.

Love Love Love! My twins love using this remote control car- they take it on the sidewalk and throughout the yard. The remote has a great range and I love how it doesn’t get stuck in the grass/gravel!

Truck is awesome! Battery lasts for but a few minutes of regular use since day one. Battery is GARBAGE! Because of this, 2 stars. Better battery and it’d be a 5 star toy at a redonk price.
