J Miles Co. It's Useful. 2 Qt. Cast Iron Fondue

The perfect fondue pot. The enameled cast iron is so easy to clean. It holds heat perfectly and fondue is great (I’ve tried broth for cooking meat as well as traditional cheese fondue). It transfers easily from stove top to fondue burner and looks good as new even after weekly uses. I love the cheerful red for something different.It would benefit from some instructions on how to light the burner. The burner can use both liquid and gel fuel and is a little confusing if you aren’t familiar with types of fondue burners, but I did some research and figured it out.I took off 1 star because the set does not come with a trivet or anything to place the burner on, so you will need to use something from the kitchen or purchase separately (It does not claim to include this, but the lack of one is an inconvenience). Also, my pot arrived with a small chip in the enamel on the bottom, but it’s not noticeable when resting in the stand.Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase. Many cast iron fondue sets are $50+, and I feel like this set was a great steal!

Easy to use, and clean up. I like that you can heat it on stove then transfer to the holder. The lower night makes it easy to dip food and see it once you put it in the fondue. Some fondues stands are too tall to see inside the pot once you insert the fork.

Great heat retention. Easy to use, easy to clean. This is the one you want for up to four people or maybe more. Great on the stove top (only way we’ve used it yet).

The heating apparatus does not really fit under the pot without lifing up the base and is very flimsy. The standard size sterno can doesn't fit either, you'd have to lift the base to regulate it and risk spilling anything inside the pot. We just used a tea candle. It's certainly attractive and worked ok for two people, although the chip was a disappointment but I had already thrown all the packaging away so didn't return it. I think I'd get an electric one if I bought a new one.

This quality product is exactly as described, the only thing I would include in the instructions is what fuel to use in the small burner provided with this beautiful cast iron, porcelain coated mini crockpot.

Loved that I can take this anywhere. Tailgating was so much fun with this fon due pot.
