AA Battery Storage Caddy by Storacell, Black, Holds 12 Batteries (Not included)

As a serious photo enthusiast, this Storacell by Powerpax "AA" 12 Pack Battery Caddy fits my needs quite well. This one is black and holds twelve AA batteries, which is ideal for storage in my camera bag for backup in the field.This caddy dispenses AA batteries one at a time so that you're not fumbling when trying to load flash units or other devices, and it doesn't take but seconds to figure out that this can be all be done in a one-handed fashion. I've loaded it with my Sanyo eneloop AA Ni-MHRechargeable Batteries, and they fit perfectly. The black contrasts quite well with the white eneloop cells, making it easy to tell at a glance how many batteries you have with you. Because of the unique Storacell design, I can insert fresh cells positive side up and exhausted cells positive down, so that they don't get mixed up.The Powerpax construction is quite robust, simple and highly functional. The design is quite ingenious in that cells can be extracted singly and with one hand. The material appears to be some form of sturdy polymer, and flip the battery holder over and you'll see they're a US-made product.What started this search for a better solution for battery storage was an incident during the winter, with snow on the ground. It was cold and windy, and I was trying to get fresh AA batteries from a device quite similar in design to this AA battery storage box. I was shivering, and dropped the box, spilling all of the batteries in the snow, resulting in a dozen white eneloop Ni-MH cells falling into the snow. I lost two of the batteries in the snow, and the one that I could retrieve were mixed up, fresh cells with exhausted. Some considerable time was lost drying off the cells that I could locate, and even more time was lost testing them to see which were charged and which were exhausted. After that I knew that there had to be a better solution, and this is just that.I've previously ordered the Storacell by Powerpax Slim Line "AA" Battery Caddy, Clear that holds 4 AA batteries and the Powerpax Slim Line "AAA" Battery Caddy, Yellow, which holds 6 AAA batteries. Good stuff

I purchased this to protect my lithium AAs. Since those cells remain stable for so long, I can drop a dozen into this caddy and put it into long-term storage. Much better than just throwing a handful of batteries into a ziploc bag, and better than storing the cells in the original packaging with some tape over the cardboard to keep them from falling out. This is compact, durable, and it is very easy to tell how many cells are left. It is designed in such a way that the batteries stay in the caddies and are wholly prevented from creating a circuit with each other's contacts.I have Storacell caddies for AA, AAA, C, CR123A, 9v, and 18650 cells and will continue to purchase more as I need them. Whenever I give someone a gift that uses batteries, I will include an extra set in one of the caddies as a sort of added bonus, it adds a lot to the presentation.Broadly speaking, unless you need your battery caddy to be sealed against moisture or dust, this is the way to go.

They work exactly as advertised. The batteries can be a bit difficult to remove, although not bad at all. I’d much rather they stay in place well during transport, so I’m happy!

I use rechargeable batteries in my digital accordion, this is great to store them safely in and they stay together in my gig bag.

I have been searching for a better solution to battery storage in my camera bag for some time now. With a mix of rechargeable batteries needed for film and digital Nikons, it was always a pain to dig around for multiple plastic cases of four batteries each, cases that invariably ended up spilling their cells around the bag.I happened upon these while searching for a wall mount battery holder, which I did not have much luck in finding an acceptable model. Probably have to DIY one to make myself happy, but these looked like a solution to the camera bag need. They keep the batteries from shortingout, with the terminals protected (not really an issue for AAs, but 9V batteries can cause a enough heat to start a fire) and tightly held in place. They are sturdy and come in an assortment of colors, including glow in the dark. And made in the USA, for those that care about such things.Highly recommended, with no negatives!

I use alot of AA batteries for music creation and photography. This is a great way to carry your extra AA batteries. when they run dead I put them in upside down to save for proper disposal to differentiate between the new ones and the used up ones. It holds the batteries quite nicely and sturdily.

The biggest concern I had when I ordered this was how sturdy it was. Fortunately it holds the batteries in and they stay there. Highly recommended.
