This is a beautiful depiction of the mysterious Luna Moth. The artist is exquisitely talented and the piece is very mystical and magical.It comes with a long-chain but you could easily put it on a shorter chain and use it like a cameo type pendant. It has a nice gift box and the chain has a large lobster claw clasp which is easy to open and closeFor those not familiar with the Luna Moth it is a very unusual creature. It takes it a very long time to emerge from being a caterpillar, but once it does it only lives about a week because it does not have a mouth so it cannot eat. Yet it still happily flies in the night sky. To me the symbolism is live each moment.Even if you don't know anything about this beautiful unusual creature, the pendant is just gorgeous and the artwork is beautiful
