KAFENDA 1 Pair Bench seat Hinges,Bed Lift Hardware, Lift Hinge Spring Mechanism Lids for Supporting Boxes, chests, etc

I bought these bc the piece I was womaking had a 3" overlay and conventional hinges wouldn't allow me to open the top like I wanted. My girlfriend found these online, so I purchased them, and I don't regret it.The top is so easy to open due to the springs. It's like a spring assisted opening that I wasn't expecting!! And bc of the springs, it keeps the lid open until I close it. No pole needed to keep the lid open!

There are no instructions as others have mentioned but I thought I could find a video of how to install these. There are some but not helpful ones. I just need to know how to put the springs on so that I can finish my bed. I did, however figure out how to install the hinges but not the springs. The springs are really tight. I cannot extend it at all. If somebody could reach out to me and let me know until the springs would greatly be appreciated.I do like the springs/hinges. As I mentioned once I figured out how to install them it was pretty simple. I’m hoping the springs are strong enough to be able to lift the piece of wood that I have on my bed because I do like these changes and they are working well so far.I will update my review if they turn out not to be as well as I think that they are. They seem pretty well made, sturdy. But we will see. And that is if I don’t figure out how to install the springs I will be returning them and try to find something else that will work for my project..

I bought this set of hinges since they claim 88lb lifting springs. Not even close, I have a 28lb lid and the springs do nothing, the lids fall back down with no hesitation. Do not buy if you expect them to hold any type of lid in an upright position. On a positive, the hinges have worked well as hinges.
