A Bible It IS!
Jeffrey Gitomer's Sales Bible is just that. In addition to the Commandments, it has tips and stories that focus on what makes salespeople successful. It is totally in synch with the shift from seller focus to customer focus. Although some of the lists and particularly the .5 part get a little tiresome, the advice is right on. This is NOT an academic book but is a great supplement to academic books if you are teaching or learning sales. It is a great reinforcement guide for salespeople who invariably wax and wane with enthusiasm and technique. Just as the real Bible can reenergize you when feeling troubled, the Sales Bible can refocus and reenergize the salesperson who is feeling uncertain or dismayed. Anyone who faithfully follows the tips will be successful!

Words of wisdom
Imagine a sales trainer looking over your shoulder as you work, telling you specifically what you should be doing. He's endlessly optimistic but also incredibly driven and intense. He loves to bark out list after list of advice. He quotes himself, often.Sound irritating? In person it would be, but as a book it works. I got my copy this afternoon, and it's already full of Post-it notes, each one marking an intriguing idea I can't wait to try.Here's one. When you call someone and they're not there, "leave a partial message that includes your name and phone number, then pretend to get cut off in mid-sentence as you're getting to the important part of the message. Cut it off in mid-word." Some examples: "I found your..." or "Your competition said..." The person won't be able to resist calling you back.There's no index, and the table of contents is hard to find, but those are quibbles. Great Book
This book arrived in a timely fashion, and as described. The book was touched upon not only in my personal trainer certification class, but to my surprise, also the health club that employed me. I decided to purchase the book, and low and behold, I topped the sales charts for last month. Very informative. A must read (over and over again) if you are in sales.

Sales focused !
This book is really sales focused and includes old-fashion (but always working) tips for sales people in the field! It has nice surveys and tricks for a sales person who can use these on daily sales bases, we always use these ideas in our broker network in insurance sector. I strogly advice this book for someone who needs motivation in sales business!

Selling became a whole lot more fun after reading this!
Jeffrey Gitomer does write how he talks.. which make it an easy read. This book has been invaluable to me as I'm sure it is to 1,000s of his other readers. In my opinion.. This is the MUST HAVE, MUST READ, & MUST STUDY WHILE READING sales book of all time! He takes his books a step further by helping them with tips located on his website that only his readers have access to. (very clever Jeffrey!) The ultimate sales man tool
This is by far the best book I have read on the subject of sales. I really like the no BS and straight to the point, that sometimes is obvious, but easy to forget.I recomend this book to anyone who is serious about their work in sales or thinking about going into sales. It did miracles for me, and it will do so for you also.

Moyen mais pleins de bonnes idées
Pure Gitomer ... Pas toujours bon mais toujours de bonnes idées et de bons conseils.L'écriture en anglais est très abordable. Bon livre à mettre sur sa table de nuit : à lire et relire en l'ouvrant au hasard à n'importe quelle page.

Outstanding book
Excellent book, a must have starting point for anyone looking to develop her/his sales skills. A pleasant read with a lot of humor but also proven truths about selling effectively and bettering yourself in general.
