Well worth for Christmas time, a small taste of Heimat.
As a German, it's a shame for how much these sell online, but if you can't travel to Germany and got no other local options, these came as close as the ones I tried in Germany. These are significantly better than the local Aldi options. I buy these ones a year, so it won't break my bank either. If you want good tasting Lebkuchen from Nuernberg, Germany don't look further. I mean they aren't as high in the nut content as in good old Germany but still very good.

Old, Dried Up
I am very disappointed. The first box I ordered was good. The two chocolate gingerbreads were fresh. But this second order was terrible. Dry. Chocolate dried up. Tasted terrible. Hard bread. Wasted money. I'd already ordered a $16.99 box of chocolate and am now concerned whether or not they will be fresh. Crossing my fingers.

Delicious and moist
I was super hesitant after reading the reviews, but the cookies were in great condition. They were moist with a nice amount of citron, and deliciously chewy oblaten. I had to wonder about the people who tried to pull the wafers off thinking it was eased paper or something. Just as good as Balshen, with a nicely balanced spice taste.

DELICIOUS!
I grew up in Germany, so these Oblaten Lebkuchen brought back many fond memories. They taste just like they used to many, many years ago! They were in great condition, packaged well, and tasted fresh. I was impressed! I will order again as gifts.

Delicious Treats, Inconsistent Freshness
I love the product itself. They're well-baked and tasty. It's a little hit or miss how fresh or stale they will be when you get them. A little staleness is honestly not a bad thing for these, but we've received these past the point of chewiness where they become just dry and lose the sharpness of their flavor.

Not worth the cost
I got these because we’ve not had them for it but my dad side of the family is German and he’s really been trying to learn more about German food. So I picked these up for him for Christmas. None of us liked them. There was a few things with them that just Worked great. The packaging was already torn open when it got to us which was already a red flag. But one of the biggest problems was, they had some kind of thick paper on the bottom of them, but it wasn’t easy to remove the sugar and chocolate codeine had basically sealed it to the cookie And even the ones without the solid coating didn’t come off easy so you ended up with paper in about an eighth of the cookie that you just couldn’t get rid of. Beyond that the taste was just OK. It wasn’t anything special but I did have a weird texture. Part of it would be Perfectly normal cookie consistently and then you’d get another bite. They have a bit of paper in it and also have some kind of chunk of something in it as well that was just weird. So definitely not something we’re buying again.

Fresh
The items were shipped in a box, and arrived fully intact: they were soft, looked like the website picture, and taste good! I don't know anything much about german gourmet foods, but these seem fresh.

Six, not seven lebkuchen
The photos displayed are a bit misleading, as the package contains 6 lebkuchen, not 7 as the photos show. The total weight though is the same - 200 g.
