A great choice for me!
I bought these in the early spring of 2024 to replace a raggedy pair of Keen sandals. They looked well-made to me and were considerably lighter than me Keen's. I wear a US size 10.5 and bought a size 11. I noticed right away how snug they fit, yet were very comfortable. My feet always slid around in my Keen's while walking on inclined surfaces but not in these sandals. Like several reviews mentioned, the insoles were thin and tended to come out when removing the sandals. That is an issue, but was minor in my opinion. When the insoles started to develop small bulges near the toes, I ordered a pair of Dr. Scholl's insoles for $3.50 and cut them to fit. Worked like a charm! I've had these for over a year now and there's no noticeable wear on the soles or anywhere really. I'm really happy with these sandals and would definitely recommend them. Even with the minor insole issue, I'm giving them 5 stars for comfort, quality, and durability. I may order another pair to have on hand in the off chance they aren't available in the future!

good for what the name is (Closed Toe Outdoor Hiking Water Sports Sandals)
A slightly left-handed compliment: I like these -- light, quick to put them on, styly (as if that matters). The price is slightly higher than I was hoping for, but.....I still gave them a 4 star rating.I use them for inside exercise "shoes" -- even though the name includes "sandals". My last pair lasted for about 6 years, but they can't take an outside workout, especially not on water. The shoe laces broke within 6 months of having them (and not a lot of wear), and the front of the right toe came apart at the 6 year point. There are knock-offs at lower prices but they won't last like these.

1st Impressions on Highland Creek Hiking Water Sport Sandals
Seems true to size and appear to be equal or better quality to the Merrills they replaced for less money. They're made in China, but seem quite comfortable since the insoles incorporate "memory foam." Hopefully they hold up even half as well as the Merrill's that I'd worn for 2-3 times a week for 15 years! I'll try to return periodically and update this review after wearing them for a while to comment on the wear and durability.

Reasonably good
Firstly, I am not particularly graceful and am hard on shoes. I have flat feet, lots of injuries and have the gait of a baby rhino. With these faults in mind, on with the review.A shoe review ought ideally to be done weeks or months after the purchase, but Amazon likes to push you on it after a few days, so here we go.Quick delivery, the sandals arrived in good shape. They looked good and appeared to be well constructed.I immediately put them on and went into the gym for a workout. Not a really heavy day heavy, not a very punishing product test and there were, unsurprisingly, no issues. The next day, I took them into the desert, wearing a light backpack for a little 3+km hike. They weren’t particularly comfortable but performed reasonably well on a medium rough terrain of mostly desert scree and sandy turf. The only real complaint were the inserts (see photos). They seemed a bit generic and stuck in there as an afterthought. They did not appear purpose made for the sandal itself and I can see them being replaced after the next good hike.I was looking for a product with higher than average arch and arch support, while maintaining maximum freedom and breathability. These breathed well, arch support was a bit meh.Summary:If the inserts had been better engineered, higher quality this product would have rated a 4* review.Ok, for the price (luckily, they were marked down $20) but nothing really to rave about.

Well worth the money
I’ve been using the Vibram brand and these were less expensive and better. Bigger footprint which helps. They hold up very well. Ditch the insole if you plan on hitting the water though.

Shoes break down after 4 weeks of use
Pros:* Vibram-like sole for better traction* Comfortable fit- feel like they are a half size too large which may add to the comfort factorCons:* Unable to secure the bungee laces on both shoes- the plastic piece does not secure on the bungee laces to tighten for trail hiking which indicates poor quality control* The multi-layer cap toe is separating from the uppers on both shoes so there appears to be a manufacturing flaw as well. See the picture posted by a Santiago on 30 OCT 2023. I had the same issue with both shoes.Bottom line:* Probably ok for walking around the block* Not rugged enough for hiking* QC and Manufacturing issues after 4 weeks of useI bought these on 15 MAR so have not even had them for two months. Probably didn't start using them until 1 APR. Would return them but the deadline for returns has passed.
