Mobile InnerSpace Mattress, 28" x 79" x 5.5", Gray Check with Blue Trim

I bought a used RV last month and the mattresses on the bunks were thin and worn out. Plus I wanted fresh new mattresses so it didn't feel like we'd be sleeping on other people's beds. I bought the 5.5" Short Full (48x75") and just slept on it last night. It was really comfortable, beyond what I would have guessed! We also bought the Teddy Bear bunk covers which will hopefully fit over this (size isn't exactly the same) and be just like a new set of bedding. I visited 2 places locally who the RV dealers said they go do for custom sizes, and found them to be crazy price wise. $400-800! One corner of this short full is angled, so I wanted to get something custom fit. But after seeing these prices, I just bought something basic off Amazon that had good reviews, plus this was for Truckers, who likely sleep on it far more often than RV beds get used, so will likely last. Anyway, it is awesome, and as long as it lasts, I'll be extremely happy!

Let me preface this by saying we have ordered similar mattresses from this company before without issue. They are made in the USA. We actually ordered two of this 5.5 inch version this fall, thinking they would be like our others we have and are still using after five years. They came quickly. They have no smell. I am highly sensitive to smells and chemicals and have had lots of problems with lots of products. But not this one. The problem is that the mattresses didn't even come close to expanding to 5.5 inches. After a week, one got to 4 inches and the other to 4.5 inches. That was definitely not enough! A small child (maybe up to a 100lbs) could probably sleep on them without compressing them much. But not an adult - which is mainly who would be on them here. So they went back. Yes it was tough to send back but Amazon took them and refunded us. We are now trying the 6.5 inch - which is also about a .5 inch short.If you want to know what these mattresses are like, I would say fairly firm. They are similar to firm couch cushions that don't give much under your weight. Or a firm crib mattress. I did lay on the 4 inch (which was supposed to be 5.5 inches) to test it out (I weigh 245 lbs). I don't sink much on my back as my weight disperses over a large area, though my hips did about an inch. In that sense it has great spinal support. However on my side I sank mostly in and through the foam and my arm fell asleep. If you crawl on it on hands and knees my hands and knees hit the floor. 4 inches is not enough for sure - unless you weigh a lot less. I would say go with the thicker version instead if you are an adult. I will be reviewing the 6.5 inch also. I suppose these could have been usable for younger kids but that's not what we were looking for.

Bought this to put in our camper for our son to sleep on. Was hoping the actual measurements were a little shorter but that was not the case. Initial review the mattress seems well made and should work very well for what we needed. I will update the review once we have used it a few times.

To be honest I don’t think that I could sleep on this mattress for more than a couple of nights but my son 4 years old sleeps on it every night and he sleeps really well. The firmness of the mattress I think is really good for kids. Good for camping or great for kids year around.

We haven’t laid in them yet, it’s for grandkids and guests. But it was definitely true to size. I ordered 35x79, I have a German bunk bed, so any American mattress wasn’t going to work. I measured the bed 35x78, so I was thinking we would have to squeeze the mattress in, but we didn’t have it. I might add memory foam later on. It is a firm mattress.

I have been trying to find a mattress for my 3/4 bed for years. I ordered this and cannot rave enough about it. It came amazingly fast, I see the manufacture date on the mattress was only a month before it arrived. It is very comfortable. I am very happy with it and for the money, it is an amazing value.

After a while like they all do they sag wish they would come up with one that was a little firmer if I hadn't known this I would have sent it back but I needed a particular size and this fit the bill
