It came with batteries, which is a rarity these days. Weighs accurately. Came in a hard outer case which, I'm sure protected it in the shipping process. The price was good. Pretty sure nearly the same scale at pure pleasure is about 60 bucks.

Using this to weigh out spices and small quantities of food. Works perfectly, very accurate and I'm so pleased to have this in my kitchen.

This works great for experiments in my elementary classroom, for weighing balloons with and then without air.I also have used it at home to convert recipes that list ingredients in weights vs. volume

There are many extremely similar scales on Amazon. This is our third, but this one is from a different seller. I keep getting water in the controls and then have to replace them. This one was $1 or $2 cheaper than the others and I was wondering if they were all the same, just with different labels.The basic scale is *almost* identical to it's twin competitors. There are a few that go up to 600gms max weight. This one only goes up to 500gms. So be careful to know if you need to weigh more than 500gms. As an example, in my case my coffee portafilter weights 512gms so I cannot use this scale to weigh coffee in the portafilter. I can only weigh the coffee by itself. One of my previous scales would have accommodated weighing coffee in the PF.The other difference that makes this unit a small bit cheaper than the others is that it comes with thinner plastic trays than the other ones did. Also this one does not come with AAA batteries. I always have AAA batteries on hand and was able to canniballize the ones from my dead scale. If you buy this, you need to know you'll need to obtain batteries for it.Please beware that all the scales of this type are susceptible to water damage so if you are using this anywhere near any water precautions should be taken. After replaceing two units, it was suggested I put a piece of scotch tape over the buttons and display to keep water out. Not the most elegant of solutions, but I don't see why it won't work. I still take care to keep water off of it, but as I use it to measure the output of my espresso machine it is very difficult. It always gets a drop of two of water on the platform. The trick is to keep it out of the buttons.Bottom line: It is as accurate as it's twins and does the job. Nothing special, but just works if you keep it dry.

This is the smallest, most accurate, nicest designed kitchen scale I have ever seen. I've tried at least 10 others. This is the one. It comes with covers that convert to measurement trays. It's sleek, efficient and most importantly accurate!

Very accurate and easy to use. Measures out to .01 grams, and for my purposes, I only need to measure to .1grams.I haven't experienced it draining the battery since I take them out after each use, but I'd recommend doing that with any scale you have.Size-wise, it's not pocket-sized, but it's small enough to just put in your bag for travel.

Doesn't work. Won't tare, it immediately starts jumping up and "weighing" even when nothing is on it. Don't know if I got a defective one or if the product is just absolutely awful.

theres a hard plastic cover around the whole scale which I liked because it protects the scale itself in storage and it's also very accurate and compact
