What Was I Thinking!!!! Not agreeing with other comments
Disappointed!!!! I just finished coloring a picture and needed to warn others before they made the same mistake of ordering these pencils. The quality is not there. The colored ends do not match the leads. No true red. They do not layer or blend well. I need to remember that more is not always better, most are the same shade.I get confused when I see the quantity of reviews and wonder how they all thought that these were wonderful pencils. Disappointed that I purchased them. I am no artist but just enjoy coloring. My favorite coloring pencil brand is Marco Raffine. PROS: Gold pencil is good color

Cannot Recommend Return If I Could
I recently purchased this set and only read up on recent reviews which was my mistake. Those who gave 1 stars were right on the money with this set. First off the pencils are horribly organized they are numbered no names and it's all out of sync from the color wheel. Next the pigments are not strong which meant I had to put more pressure on it ergo ruining the paper which it did by the way. My arm, wrist and hand started aching and I couldn't get my coloring done. I was not satisfied with these pencils and contacted customer service. They said their usual thing to cover their losses and refunded me with less than half the price I paid. Truly items like these should be completely replaceful/refunded since you won't know the quality of the product until you've tried them. I will never repurchase these again. I will say a couple of good things about this set the lead did not break when sharpened and arrived well, also the box is pretty nice. But these things are not even worth a dollar to the quality which must be measured. These are not good colored pencils to be even gifted. Also I had to sharpen every single colored pencil in order for me to use them.

No Hype! The Real Deal!
So, I won't repeat what others have said in their reviews -- which by the way were extremely helpful in me choosing the Stile Colored Pencils. But let me give you the bottom line without all the hype! These pencils stay in their lane. They don't try and drive in the Prismacolor's lane, manage to stay out of the way of the Faber-Castell's, and at the end of the day avoids any oncoming traffic and does what they were meant to do -- simply color, with no bells or whistles. Now, mind you, I did my homework before procuring these. I thought that I was well informed until I ran across a review on YouTube I hadn't seen prior to their shipping. Oops! The person conducting the objective review brought out some salient points which could not be overlooked and I was anxious for my 150 set to arrive so that I could see for myself. As soon as they arrived I unboxed them. First things first. There was very little, if any, odor emitting from the box upon opening. I have the nose of a shark and was just dreading putting them in my laundry room to air out. Didn't need to. The smell issue is a moot point. So that's that. Now upon initial inspection it is true that all the pencils are numbered -- but have no corresponding color name. OK. Don't really dig that too much, but I knew that going in. Easy enough fix to this issue. Thirdly, although the pencils are numbered they are NOT grouped in any logical color family, hue or scheme. That was perplexing to say the least. And that was the biggest hurdle. But again, if you're not too rigid of a colorist you can group the colors into their respective "beds" according to your own palette.Lastly and most importantly -- the pencils themselves. They have a nice feel to them, even though they are not round. They are lightweight in nature. I immediately took quite a few different colors for a test drive and was delightfully surprised with the colors that I was looking at! Again, are they the big boys? Nope! I don't think they try to be either. This 150 set meets my current needs as a colorist. I recently purchased a 72 set of Prismacolors and must admit I have been somewhat disappointed in the overall lack of different color choices. So I then began my hunt for a coloring set which could be an adjunct to my Prismacolors. Again I didn't want an echo in my coloring supplies. I wanted an inexpensive set which could sing it's own tune and not be threatened by the "big boys!"And that's exactly what I got! I was fully prepared to send them back in the same day's mail if they didn't measure up (I had already found a comparable replacement set), but I didn't have to!So as the sun sets, we find that the SUDEE STILE Colored 150 Pencil Set is cruising right along -- doing the speed limit and staying in it's own lane! And, oh yeah, staying out of the way of the big boys on the road!

Lots of colors, decent quality...make sure to work from swatches!
I am not an art student, just a hobbyist, and I wanted a set of pencils that were fairly good quality and with a good selection of colors without breaking the bank. This is exactly that. The set of 150 come in trays in a larger box, suitable to give as a gift. It includes two sharpeners. The pencils have silver barrels, color swatches on the ends, and identifying numbers, but no color names or descriptions. I can live without names, but the numbers are at minimum a must.Swatch out the colors yourself to see what you are dealing with since even my scanned swatches don't really show that some colors (024, 003, and 023) are bright fluorescent, or that the white pencil, 053, puts down a nice bit of pigment - they fade out in the scan. Also the ends of many of the pencils seem to be tipped in a color that is mostly a suggestion :P In one of my pictures you will see pencil #140 as it lays down in a Cranson XL sketchbook, and the end color on the pencil itself... Surprise! Also as some have noted in reviews, there are several colors that are very close to others - for instance in less than bright light, you will have difficulty telling the dark browns apart, or the charcoal greys. Which brings up another thing - Lots of natural and earth tones! Yay!The quirks of this set hardly bother me - its 150 colored pencils that lay down color nicely. I had one core fail on me while I was swatching it, but it sharpened back to a good point easily. I use mixed media paper mostly, and used some pressure to create the color swatch page.My main quibble is that the pencils aren't in any particular color family order. They are all over the place and you will have to figure it out and reorder them on your own.UPDATE: More cores have failed on me... Quite frustrating. The last one didn't appear to ever have had a solid core, and the shaft was a tortured bit of wood that was barely held together, only to shred to bits when you try to sharpen it.I use a Prismacolor sharpener, which works on Premiers which are a much softer core, without destroying those.
