Buckle your seatbelt! (Update)
If you're on the fence about this product just do it! I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi. Before loading the Diablo 91 octane tune my truck had slow sloppy shifting and throttle response was so slow. At cruising speed I had to nearly floor the pedal to get it to down shift and it just felt bogged down. Now with the Diablo tune the response is instant!! It's almost scary. My truck has alway had good traction on dry and even wet roads but now it will light the tires up on both. I've had to change the way I drive to keep her planted. I will say that the improvement was not immediate. It was probably the 3rd day after loading the tune when everything clicked with the tune. The most beneficial adjustment was the throttle response adjustment option. It gives you the option to adjust response 1% to 20%. Do the 20%! It will make you fall in love with your hemi all over again! Go lightem up!! (Update) Can't express enough how important it is to make sure your engine is running cool (180 thermostat) after loading the tune my truck was running waaaay better especially in the mid to high RPM range. But I noticed my motor was still running around 200 degrees even with the 180 thermostat (bought from local auto parts store) so I ordered a Mishimotto 180 thermostat and installed it today. Mercy it was like adding a tune to a tune. Now I'm truly running in the 180's. The power is across the board now and just light the tires up dangerous. Before loading the tune make sure you have all other mods complete first. The power of the tune is dependent on other mods like thermostat, CAI, exhaust.

Diablo 8200
Exactly how I thought it would be, easy to use, added good power with the 93 octane tune and trans shift firm tune. Transmission runs cooler, engine runs way better and feels and shifts right on point.

Don't buy the used one get the new one
Do not buy the used one I did not know people are returning them after they tune their truck with it so it's married to another vehicle and you cannot use it I was really disappointed so now I'm waiting for the return so I can purchase it brand new and hopefully that goes through quickly because I'm excited to get the new one it's a great product I just should have known better than buying the used one trying to save a couple bucks

Pretty good product, made a bigger difference than I thought, just do your research
So I used this for drive ability and performance for my 2015 GMC Sierra 5.3. And to improve towing and delete that stupid DOD and AFM. It did both and Iโm currently using a can tune for 87 octane. Makes a pretty big difference and drives much better than stock. The only things I can say thats negative.. 1) it froze on me in the middle of setting my tire size. Had to pull my negative battery cable off and then pull the module out and back in to reset it.. was worried about messing up the CPU. But it corrected quickly. I read online that you should pull the battery cable if this happens. And was able to reflash what was needed. It also saves stock parameters on the device. so if you need to go back to stock for service at your local dealer, you can. Also make sure you have immediate WiFi โAT ALL TIMEโ during the tune and download ANY updates before you even start. 2) very vague on written instructions on how to do stuff. This the 4 star tech support rating. I here they actually are Johnny on the spot if your in a bind. But luckily I didnโt have to go that far into the rabbit hole. 3) Lastly, and it isnโt a negative, just good info, only use the octane tune you actually fuel with.. I canโt go full diablo 93 tune because no one in my area sells 93 octane.. and as soon as I get this 89 octane ran out of my tank , and fill up a couple times w 91.. I will switch to the 91 octane tune. If you run a higher tune with a lower octane, you will start pinging and run the risk of blowing stuff up in your motor from running too lean on your fuel trim. All of these that Iโve listed either Iโve already been through, or I had to do a lot of research online .. def do your research before attempting. Gas mileage I canโt tell yet. But the way I drive, I expect a decrease. Lol. I would have given it 5 stars because it does make a huge difference in just drivability, except it froze on me during flashing, and put me in panic mode.. and In the written directions it comes with, should describe what you should do if that happens so you donโt stroke out thinking you messed your ride up.

Issues at first
It was way out of date, so I couldn't connect to WiFi. Fortunately there's a program for PC's to use for updating the device. After I got everything updated it works flawlessly

Why didn't GM even come close to this?
This 2016 V6 Colorado was the most irritating vehicle I have EVER owned and that has been a lot of vehicles. The transmission/engine combination is a total mismatch so I thought. Regardless what the magazines say, my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport turbo 4 banger can tow a load more comfortably, better MPG, pull hills without downshifting and if you pushed the accelerator a little bit you went a little bit faster, if you pushed it a lot, you easily enter high speed traffic. The Colorado could do non of this. Even though I was going to take a huge depreciation hit, the Colorado had to go. My son talked me into trying the Diablo programmer since he was very happy with what it did for his 2015 V8 Sierra. This programmer has totally changed the truck!!! It is now a keeper. It's actually a joy to drive it now. You push the accelerator and now something good happens instead of actually slowing up on a hill. MPG is up about 1 MPG and considering that I'm continually "testing" it's performance, that is great. This wasn't cheap but it sure beat the big hit I would take getting rid of that slug.

Good tune, but user interface freezes
Update: Now it is frozen with the message "please wait for the tool to reboot!" and nothing gets it unstuck. It is unfortunate that a good performance tune is ruined by awful software running the user interface of this device. Original review: This is one of the few 50 state legal tunes I can use for my 2001 GMC Yukon Denali since I live in Commifornia. The 87 Octane tune seems pretty good so far. However prior to updating with the latest firmware, it is the worst performing user interface I have ever used. It would take several minutes to navigate through some of the menus, just so I could get it to update. Once the updates were applied via WiFi it worked enough that I could flash the tune onto the vehicle but still kept freezing up. After the unit freezes up, it wants to reboot before you can do anything with it, and this process takes forever (it seems to freeze during reboot). In my opinion Diablo should recall all of these devices until they fix the reliability of the user interface/processor. The device is absolute trash which takes away from what is otherwise a great performance tune.

WOW
Installed this into a 2009 Silverado with a 5.3. I updated the unit first and set up the wifi before I went to the truck. I also registered the product automatically at that time. The next day after work sat in the drivers seat and plugged it in. I installed the 93 tune, firm tranny shifts and removed the speed limiter. The programmer backed up the original truck settings before it installed the new settings. The check engine lights went on and off, door locks went up and down and it stopped. The tuner said it's finished and enjoy the tune. I went back into the advance settings and under ECU I turned off the DOD, it reprogrammed it for that. Same procedure with the truck dash lights blinking then I get the your done message on the tuner. I unplugged the unit and fired up the truck. No idiot lights and the truck was running smooth. Took it for a spin. No issues. I stepped on it and my head bounced off the head rest. Holy Smoke this truck is alive now. It's faster than before. It put a smile on my face. It's worth the money. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Waste of money.
This causes my engine to ping. (Knocking sound under heavy load) It has not given me any better performance gain, or fuel mileage. Waste if money. Seller would not accept a return of the product. Buy another product elsewhere.
