Do you have suggestions or can we get a replacement panel?** A: I had issues getting the gear box to work, the gears keep disconnecting. Try taking the power gear, connecting it to the solar panel and see if it spins, if it does its the gears not the panel. **Q: What is the size of the robot?** A: Take buggy-bot as an example. It is 5.11 inches long, 3.93 inches wide and 3.14 inches high. The size of the other robots is not much different. **Q: What kind of batteries does it use in lieu of solar?** A: Remote controls **Q: Where to get parts? Have 2 kits that were gifts and don’t have motors and P3 gears.** A: I don't want to sound rude but do the instructions say that they are included? I don't recall those parts being included in my kit which is why I'm mentioning it. Thank you ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice Robotics Kit - Poor Execution on Parts *by T***6 on October 3, 2020* Overall, this is a pretty nice kit allowing you to build several different robots. The instructions are relatively easy to follow and the parts in the kit are well organized. The powering of the robot with the solar panel/solar cell is great as you don't need to worry about batteries or the weight from a power source as the solar cell is extremely lightweight. In my opinion where this kit went seriously wrong however, is the execution of packaging the parts. The robotics kit is listed for eight (8) and above and it has full directions and labeled bags for the given parts. All of that sounds great until you open the packaging with younger children only to find that all the parts are connected to plastic sheets and you need to free the parts and sand each component with a file to remove extra plastic nibs. It is you (parent/uncle/aunt/adult) that get to deal with an impatient child and you are left to remove all parts and place them in the correct labeled baggies. This process took almost two hours to get all the parts/pieces in their labeled baggies as well as build the robot's head and motorized body. Pros ============ Good instructions Solar powered - no need for batteries Flexible in that there are multiple robots that can be build from the components Inexpensive Cons ============ Parts not already separated from plastic sheets Kit not in "Assemble Ready" condition I understand that the parts are shipped this way and it is often cheaper and more efficient thereby keeping costs down, but I would have rather paid a little extra for the parts being in the bag and the robot being ready to build/assemble. There is nothing wrong with the kit or taking things apart, but I would have done things much differently had I known we couldn't build the robot as soon as I opened the box.
