About the factory Tulskaya Garmon is a factory that continues ancient Russian traditions, dating back to the days when there were the first garmons in Russia. It was in Tula, where the first garmon was produced (in 1820). Tula was the major supplier of garmons for the entire Russian Empire, and it remains so today. Since ancient times Tula garmons were famous for their originality, unique sound, good quality, and beautiful design. Tula bayans and garmons were named the best in Russia on numerous competitions, which was confirmed at craftsmanship's contests (musicians were playing behind the curtains, and the jury identified the quality of instrument sound without any additional equipment). The musical instruments of the Tula factory won incredible popularity in Russia and abroad. Repeatedly, musical instruments of Tula craftsmen were awarded at various international competitions. The ensembles famous in Russia and the whole world play Tula bayans and garmons: State academic Russian folk ensemble "Russia", Pyatnitsky State Russian folk choir, State academic folk dance ensemble, and many more. A new generation of musical instruments meets all the highest requirements that musicians might have. The unique sound of Tula bayans and garmons has a high reputation all over the world. Musicians often use such phrases as "real Tula bayan" or "Tula bass" etc. Tula bayans and garmons are famous for powerful and rich bass sound, which much better than German and Italian analogs have. Also, Tula instruments have amazing soulful treble sound. Today the factory "Tulskaya Garmon" produces a lot of instruments and caters to all tastes. Instruments intertwine cultural and folk traditions with unique high-quality sound. 85 years of experience in musical instrument production has made the name of «Tulskaya Garmon» a synonym of high quality in the music industry. Our bayans and garmons are high-quality instruments with unique character!

It's a very nice B system chromatic button accordion
It's a very nice B system chromatic button accordion. I was looking for something like this for quite a while in Canada. There were some choices available:1. European model for $11,0002. Japanese Roland for $7,0003. Chinese one whose quality is questionable.None of these options is acceptable to me. I am not a performer doing gigs. I am just learning how to play. A Canadian salesman suggested buying a small Weltmeister for $2,800 but Tula-209 is cheaper and bigger. The Germans reduce price by reducing the size of the instrument. It makes sense but doesn't add any advantage to the instrument itself. It means a player has a limited range of sounds to operate with. That is annoying. Tula-209 is an excellent accordion for a low price. It doesn't have bells and whistles like expensive accordions but it provides all the necessary functionality and sounds very well. It doesn't have a bass converter but it has a switch to shift octaves on the treble side. Kind of neat. You can play them both. Personally I never figured out why bass converter was needed. It's tricky to play without it. You can check some videos on YouTube. Type in the search box: "Баян Тула 209". More expensive models by the same manufacturer are also available. When I become a bayan whiz I will surely buy one for $12,000. The factory "Tulskaya Garmon" has a long history and has been on the market for more than a century in Russia. These instruments are designed to last with no problems for at least 10 years as the manufacturer guarantees. At first I wanted to order a Tula-209 from Moscow but couldn't find any dealer who was willing to send one to Canada. By a shear accident I discoverer the company "Musical Harmony" on Amazon and ordered one from them right away. It came in three weeks in the original manufacturer's packaging right from the factory on the very day it had been scheduled to come. There were also included shoulder straps and a soft case. I am happy. I didn't find a single flaw. No wobbling or sticking keys. No air leaks. The accordion behaves the way it is supposed to. The Musical Harmony's personnel is friendly and supportive. I talked to them via email. I am satisfied with this purchase and grateful to people who found a way to sell these amazing accordions in North America. God bless them.

Great sound & light weight
The media could not be loaded. I spent a lot of time online browsing for my first accordion. Though there is a local store here, they were offering smaller accordions at much higher prices. I'm just learning and wanted to find a 5 row B-Griff system accordion as I've always been fascinated by the musical theory behind button accordions vs the standard piano accordions. The Musical Harmony store has a good range of B-Griff button accordions at good prices. The store also has excellent ratings and that sealed the deal.COVID complicated the postage to Australia as less planes are flying now, but the seller adapted and my instrument finally arrived today! Seller was responsive to all of my questions. The sound is really pleasant and, best of all, it's nice and light for an accordion of its size. I have some back issues and wanted to make sure I wasn't crushed by a 20kg instrument! So I opted for this as it has the minimum amount of reeds (no sound switching). But I wouldn't want to as it sounds perfect as is.There was a minor issue with a sticking bass note, but it was easily fixed with a small adjustment.(And please excuse my playing in the video - I've just started!)

Beautiful instrument and sound
Finally received this beautiful bayan today via mail after 25 days (CT, USA). As mentioned by the Canadian reviewer, the instrument was packaged in a box directly from the Tula factory. No defects, no scratches during the transportation. It is truly a piece of art and engineering in itself.Honestly, initially I was a bit hesitant to buy such a pricey instrument from a Music Harmony shop in Russia (laconic website design, a few grammatical errors here and there). I was worried that this would be a scam, but after reading a few reviews and checking with the Tula factory website, which endorses the seller, I ventured for the purchase. And I am very happy a did. When I asked for updates on the purchase and the whereabouts of the package, Konstantin kindly replied promptly to all my emails. He also sent me a USPS tracking number a day before the bayan actually arrived. Perhaps providing it a bit earlier (and posting it on the website) would have alleviated some of my unnecessary anxiety. All in all, I am very happy that the instrument finally arrived as promised and am looking forward to learning to play Russian and Ukrainian melodies and songs. I hope more people in the future will enjoy the Tula bayan!
