Chapulines Sazonados from Oaxaca 30 grms - Seasoned Grasshoppers

I have ordered these twice so far. First of all, delicious authentic flavor: we recently returned from fabulous culinary vacation in Oaxaca. Second, very responsive customer service. These grasshoppers are wild grasshoppers. So they must be hard to catch... price is reasonable. They are mostly intact and they are a bit spicy. For a dried snack, they are great. I enjoyed them. My son was so excited, and I even got my very picky eating boyfriend to them too.

Spiced and roasted, crickets taste great not sure why they had to be overdosed with salt.

I always enjoy these when traveling through Mexico and they taste the same as the ones there. Nice and slightly spicy with a predominant lime flavor. I purchased these to make Sal de Chapuline to sprinkle on orange slices when drinking Mezcal.

I had these many years ago and I’m so glad I found them again. They are so good!!!

My 6 yr old wanted to try these after she saw them on Bizarre Foods so we ordered them. Since I don’t know what they’re supposed to taste like I can only guess what they SHOULD taste like. They seemed stale and seasoning tasted old. Maybe if they’re were fresh from the cooking process, they’d be good.

My son and his family went to Cancun. They sent me a photo if them holding a bag of ready-to-eat Grasshoppers. They did not eat any but brought some home. They challenged me to eat some so I place an order. Next time we're together I can guarantee that the eating challenge will be epoch!
