One amazing little device
I was truly amazed how easy it was to install this smart plug and connect it to my Amazon Tap. I usually have a problem with new technology, being an old fart, but this was extremely easy to set up. All I did was plug it in an existing out lite, make sure the blue light was blinking rapidly, downloaded the app, and the instructions give an easy guide to connect to Alexa. Within a few minutes, I was able to get Alexa to turn on and off the light. I only bought one to use as a text case to make sure I could make it work properly in my home. It does work, and works great, as a result I have just ordered 2 more. Also, another good point is that this smart plug only covers a single electrical out lite and does not impact the ability to use the out lite adjunct to the one the smart plug is inserted.

Nice unit for automation, but lacks UL approval.
The Smart Outlet plug is a nice starting point for someone looking into home automation. It's compact size, ease of use, and fully functional smart phone app are all very nice. Overall, it's a nice unit that i would recommend for certain uses.Pros:- Compact- Smart Phone App is excellent- Stand-alone unit, no special "hub" required to use, just uses your home WiFi.- Works with Amazon Alexa/Echo and Google Home for voice control and automation.- Nicely packaged with no waste and frustration-free.Cons:- "Easy Setup" took me a few tries to connect successfully.- "AP Mode" setup failed for me completely.- Instructions have been translated to english, but still clear enough- No UL approval.Bottom Line: Nice price point for this device. Has one of the best designed Smart Phone Apps i've seen for these types of devices. It's not UL approved, so i'm questioning the build quality. On the outside, it appears solidly built.

I bought this smart outlet to fix my problem with the bad design ...
This product was a life saver. I wanted to find a way to control the portable heater in my room without having to get out of bed to turn it off. Also for some reason the off switch only turns off the heater but not the built in light, so the only way to turn off the heat and light is to pull the plug. I bought this smart outlet to fix my problem with the bad design of the heater and it worked perfectly.I plugged in this adapter, discovered it using my Alexa app and labeled it heater. Now all I have to do is tell alexa to turn the heater on/off before I go to sleep or right when I wake up. Much needed convenience!

Fantastic Unit, Small Size, Versatile - WINNER - Definite BUY
Absolutely a fantastic product at a great price. I have purchased several different units from different companies over the last year and this unit by LightOne is great because its smaller than others making it easy to fit into any outlet in almost any situation and the button on the side for on/off or resetting wifi is nice placement as you dont need to pull out the plug and doesnt interfere with turning on/off manually.I will be saving this so I can purchase many more in the future.

Can’t link to Alexa
I’m giving it a 1 because it linked with my phone without issue. However when I try to link to Alexa the Smart Plug app doesn’t recognize my id or password. I sent messages to developer without response. 😖

Pretty great product for a pretty nice price.
Received this real fast and was packaged really great. First time using this device was confusing but I got a hang of it and I use it to wirelessly charge my phone. It's a really lightweight, plasticky feel but works like a well made product. Does what it's supposed to do and had no difficulty with it after initial start. 4/5 👍🏾

Does not work.
Did not work at all. The app and the manual had different directions for how to connect. I tried to connect for an hour and gave up. Do not buy this product.
