LostDuckOutdoors Bird and Woodpecker Deterrent - Owl & Bird Scare Repellent Kit

After the 2nd pine grosbeak hit our picture window, we needed something to protect these neat birds. I looked a several different owl options and chose these because of the combination of flying and stationary figures. Getting 4 of them was a good deal for the price. They are somewhat see through and don't really get in the way of the view from our windows. I have hung them indoors as our windows are hard to reach from the ground. I can see where the bells and silvery moire pattern would present a barrier to birds if I had them outside the window. Since I hung them up, no more birds have had unpleasant encounters with our windows!! Hurray for grosbeaks.!!

I bought these because the male Cardinals were coming in my garage and seeing their reflection in my truck window, would peck at the windows and poop all over everything. I hung 3 of them around my truck and it didn't phase them in the least. Maybe they would work on other types of birds but these male Cardinals were very aggressive.

These deterremts don't work for the small birds in my area. Maybe they keep large birds away, but the barn swallows and house sparrows fly through the glittering, swinging owls outside and nest in my garage. They seem to really like the big owl i have hanging IN the garage. lol

I bought two sets of these to help deter attacks on my log house by a pair of pileated woodpeckers. So far they seemed to have helped, and I have been using them for over a month. The pair seemed to have moved on.

These work wel km for hanging in a tree to keep birds out of the fruit. Also I hung to keep Quail from making a nest on my air conditiiner.

Didn't think much about them when they arrived, however now I can say it's effective for keeping birds from building nests inside the garage!

They worked well for 2 weeks then the birds came back. If you are trying to seed a lawn you will need another way to keep the birds off the lawn after the 2 weeks
