Failed in less than 1,000 miles
After diagnosing my original ignition coil (~223,000 miles) as misfiring using a bidirectional scanner, I installed this ACDelco coil which appeared new and in a new box. Within about 1,000 miles this replacement coil failed and showed as misfiring per the same scanner tool. As a quality engineer, we call such early part failures, "infant mortality." Hopefully a replacement coil which is now installed from the same seller works as long as the original. The seller was prompt in issuing a refund after I paid for return shipping.Update: Replacement coil from this store also failed prematurely. That's two consecutive failed parts! Something doesn't seem statistically normal to have such a high failure rate. Buyer beware.Update #2 Feb 2 2020: The Delphi units I've purchased instead of AC Delco have been operating flawlessly for about a year now with no misfires.
