I have used this for many months. I cannot speak for any other models. I would ask Eton directly. **Q: just want to know where I can get a cell phone charger adapter for a Eton 300?** A: I suggest trying Wilson Eledtronics--they have almost everything for radios including cell phone connectors. **Q: can anyone verify that that this is the right fr300 Eton adapter with a middle negative pin?** A: Apologies, I really dont remember. bcook@mcn.org **Q: I just got this and it is 5V @ 1A. The radio's manual state the charger should be 4.5V @ 200ma or the battery will be damaged. What's your experience?** A: The original ETON Adapter Part Number GPU3504 was: 4.5 volts with the center pin being negative with a maximum current of 100 milliamps (0.1 amps). The 3.6 volt battery pack is three 1.2 volt Nickel-Metal-Hydride batteries in series. Nickel-Metal-Hydride batteries are very sensitive to being charged. The charging voltage for each cell must be between 1.2 and 1.6 volts. Therefore the maximum charging voltage for the battery pack is 4.8 volts. The manual says; IMPORTANT NOTE: If using an AC adapter rated higher than 200 milliamps, unplug the internal rechargeable battery to avoid damaging it. Later manuals had a Notice that the embossed 5 volts on the radio was wrong and should have been 4.5 volts! ## Frequently Bought Together - UpBright 4.5V AC/DC Adapter Compatible with ETON FR300 FR-300 FR-250 FR-350 FR-400 FR-405 FR-200 FR200G ARCFR300W ARC Crank Grundig Radio Traveler II G8 G8-ACA-US GPU3504 SY-05014 Power Supply Charger - iMah Ryme F11 2/3AA600 3.6V 600mAh Ni-MH Battery Pack, fits Kaito KA500 KA550 KA600 and fits Eton FRX3 Earlier Round-Hole Verson(Don't fit Eton FRX3 0000101 Newer Square-Hole Verson) - Bingfu 7 Sections Telescopic 74cm AM FM Antenna Portable Radio Antenna Replacement (2-Pack) Compatible with Indoor Portable Radio Home Stereo Receiver AV Audio Video Home Theater Receiver TV Tuner --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/4718283-upbright-4-5v-ac-dc-adapter-compatible-with-eton-fr300](https://www.desertcart.be/products/4718283-upbright-4-5v-ac-dc-adapter-compatible-with-eton-fr300) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
