Does the job it's inteded for.
I got this to break up some hard dirt around my yard to reseed and also to turn the soil in a small garden. It does that type of work well. As others have stated, it's best to pull this back rather than trying to push forward. Also, if you are looking for a rototiller type of replacement, this will not do the job. It is not powerfull enough, not will it go deep enough to break up old roots. It is very easy to pull the tines off for cleaning, and snaps onto my weed wacker quickly and securely. It's pretty heavy, so be prepared.

it did an excellent job in the garden
For a little piece of machinery, it did an excellent job in the garden. It is lightweight and very easy to use. It tilled the soil in between the rows great. Very much worth the money spent.

Works well
I am using this with a Troybilt string trimmer base unit. This is sturdily built and cut through some relatively hard and dry clay soil without any effort. I would recommend this for flower beds or grass patching areas. I think this might be too heavy and unwieldy for larger areas if you are a shorter person ( I am 6'4") as the business end of the tool is heavy compared to the motor end and takes some leverage to balance due to the length of the shaft. It easily cut through some 30 year old live rosebush roots As other reviewers have mentioned, it is much easier to pull, rather than push because of the direction of rotation of the tines

Grabs and Holds Rocks
The tines spin on one direction only. So, when the unit grabs a golf-ball-sized (or larger) rock, it jams and will not let go. You practically have to take the whole thing apart to get the rock out. I just bought mine today and this has happened to me five times already. I get about a minute of work done before I have to stop and work on the tool for five to ten minutes. It's probably fine if your yard is rock free, but where I live it is practically useless. If there was any way to release the tines or allow them to freely spin backwards when not being powered, this would not be an issue.

I am completely satisfied with this little cultivator
I am completely satisfied with this little cultivator. It is hard work and I would not want to use it to turnover the sod of a large area, but it is great on small areas. As several other reviews stated, it works much better pulling it backward than pushing it forward. It is easy to attach and remove. A useful little item.

It worked like a champ
Attached to my Craftsman and it was pre-lubed ready to go. It worked like a champ! The tine removal with the cotter type pins was vital and awesome! One note, it's best to cut down the vegetation before using, worked much better. Great product and engineering!

Works w/ Ryobi Expand-It 40V power head
Terrific tiller/cultivator I'm using with my Ryobi Expand-It 40V Power Head. I chose this one due to the Troy-Bilt name much more heavy duty, more tines per plate. Outstanding product!
