Comfortable and good price.
These shoes fit well with great comfort and cushioning for me. I gained a bunch of weight during Covid and I am a valet. On my feet all day and on the go 6 days a week. I bought several pairs so I could rotate them around and not wear them out as fast. The rain and water felt like they broke down quicker than they should. When they have had enough wear they are uncomfortable and you know to throw them away. Style was fine and multiple colors to choose from. I will by them again since I have lost a lot of my weight now. Some new ones are in order.

Honest pros and cons
First off, I recommend you going to a sketchers store (ideally) or department store and getting a feel for your personal size before purchasing online. Most shoes follow the same measurements. Ok, con: the shoes after 3 or four months of rough wearing (like 8hr - 10hr days) will tear at where the toe bends of the shoe. Nevertheless, they are minor tears, but they will most likely tear. Pros: Comfortable, takes pressure off the front balls of your feet and distributes the body weight evenly. They are lite, very breathable, and or the affordable version of Hokas. The padding last. All in all, it all depends on your needs. Using the shoes for walking around town or going to gym and you drive...they most likely are not going to rip and last for a year +. On the other hand, if you are a nurse or a delivery driver...they will rip. I am in construction, run, and walk in the shoes mon -Friday for 14hr or so...I live in NYC. These shoes last me about 8 to 9 months maybe a year. The have minor rips after 4 months, but I don’t care because they are so dang comfortable and light and I’m on my feet all day doing all kinds of stuff (running, walking, climbing up ladders, drilling, navigating a construction site). I don’t suffer from any fatigue because of how lite these shoes are. The shoes hold up, but they do have little rips in the front. This shouldn’t in my opinion deter a true runner. Sketchers do have different versions of this shoe that are more durable at the same price point so you have other options

Skechers Are The Very Best!
Although the size was not right for me on just this purchase, these shoes are among the most comfortable I've ever worn. Prior to wearing Skechers I was sold on Nike but I never knew how much better my feet felt all around until I switched. I recently tried on a pair of my old Nike shoes and could not believe the difference. They felt like stone and the Skechers are like walking on a cloud as everyone states. So I have donated all my Nike pairs and have invested in the most comfortable and affordable shoe on the market - Skechers. This particular style (Max Cushioning Premier) fits like a glove. It has a nice heel cushion and the toe box is nice and wide. Cannot recommend them enough. Plus, women can wear men's sizes if you get the correct conversion (example: a women's size 9 is equal to a men's size 7.5, sizing down 1.5)

After 300 Miles: Amazing Walking Shoes...But Sole Wears Out Fast!
First, I found these to be a real improvement over other walking shoes, except maybe Reebok DMX. I've had 3+ pairs of DMX over the years, so that's saying something. These Sketchers Premier Vantage save my knees, but aren't wobbly and squishy like the Go Max Ultra Evolution. These are also much more efficient/faster. Ran to catch my dog when he was running away...worked great for running also. UPDATE: The soles wear to the point of losing function (definitely lost their rocker technology shape) after 300ish miles on a sidewalk like surface, not even a rough surface really. Indoors might be okay. (Skechers now makes a version 2.0 of this shoe with Goodyear rubber redesigned soles, which I just received. We will see if they last longer, but showing wear already. Maybe not as comfortable). I really don't like the idea of a disposable, 4-6 month shoe. Compared to my older model Reebox DMX, which are also fantastic with the unbeatable air cushion, these are lighter, much better looking, and breathe better. About the same in comfort, which is saying something. These won't last as long as the Reebok DMX, which are made of tougher material. The Sketchers Premier Vantage sole is super thick (explaining some of the cushion), but also a little wider in the front/middle. The sole thins a little towards the very front. UPDATE: The enormous sole wears most for me under the ball of my foot. This wears away the main portion of the shoe that makes the sole shape rounded...their rocker technology. The second pyramid shape from the front wears a lot, now much more than the photo. This has really worn 1/4 inch or so to the point of being concave now. Natural rocker technology...not so much anymore. I have put about 300 enjoyable miles on the shoe, but my normal expectations for a shoe are for more than 6 months. They were great while they lasted. I don't like the idea of disposable shoes. They're expensive and all-synthetic. I mean, I can still wear them, but half the comfort and bounce and rocker shape is gone. The tops and sides are still fine. Bummer. You can see wear already on the top shoe in my photo. If you look closely, the second triangle in the sole already has its surface worn down. I expect this wear to continue. It's very comfortable, for a serious shoe, but also efficient and a little bouncy. I am walking on a smoothly paved trail with only gravel in spots. The cushioning is thinner towards the toe, making it easier to walk and climb stairs, but perhaps not curved quite right. Also, if you can't see, it is wider than your foot around the ball area, which was just a plus for me in lots of ways, including improved balance, stability and ground contact area when I need it. Fitting tip: In my experience, threading the laces through the additional top eyelets further back really helped the shoe feel better (and it lifted better with my foot). I recommend regular sizing, but tighten these suckers up with the laces. Weird thing: these do pick up small gravel. I can even tell without looking. Stop, pick it out, and it is bouncy again. -shrug- I would never recommend these for walking miles on a small gravel trail though, since the gravel in the tread changes how the shoe works. I used these as my top walking shoe for 20 miles a week on sidewalk like surface (with the pictured awesome dog). Never expected Sketchers to suddenly be the innovator in the walking shoe area. But it's a freaking good shoe. Except for the tread wear. Ugh.

Buy the right equipment, get the right results
I don't like running but I decided I needed to do something to lose some excess weight. So I bought some dumbbells and started weighted walking with 8lb, 10lb, and 12lb dumbbells. As I progressed, I started adding quick sprints with the dumbbells as a part of my walk; over time, the sprints got longer, 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds. I started with Nike walking shoes that resulted in blisters on the back of my heel/ankle area. So I bought some no-name brand shoes from Amazon that were even worse; they resulted in blisters on the bottom of my feet after their second use. So I finally spent the money for shoes that were supposed to be different - and boy are they. As much as I dislike walking/running for exercise, I absolutely love these shoes - and they make it bearable. I've had my Sketchers since mid-April and have completed over 94 miles in them: (11) 5k+ outings and (6) 10k+ outings. My hands (grip) and shoulders actually get exhausted from carrying the dumbbells before my feet get tired/start aching (in fact, within a few minutes of completing my workout, my feet don't even ache). I feel like I could do a half marathon in these shoes (without the dumbbells lol) - and one of these days, I just might :) While everyone's experience will vary, I can honestly say from my own personal experience/use, if you're looking for comfort with no blisters - I can wholeheartedly recommend these Sketchers. (I'm tempted to buy extra pairs in case they stop making them lol)

Absolutely fantastic cushioning and light
Extremely comfortable. Wide and has exceptional support. Extremely cushioned. Even the insole is cushioned-and you feel it. I wear orthotics but held off using them once I put on this shoe, the insoles were that good. Very light. I can't speak for the durability but honestly I don't care, they are lighter than sandals and obviously provide much more support. Just using them for walking, relatively brisk pace (ruck march speed). Swapped cloth laces for stretchy laces which almost makes them a slip on. Cant say enough good about these, like a great pair of expensive running shoes but with thicker soles!

Perfect fit, Awesome cushioning, GREAT WALKING SHOE
Hesitantly bought these Skechers as they don't get great ratings outside Amazon and the official website BUT I couldn't have been happier with this purchase. They fit me perfectly right out of the box, and most importantly, paid immediate dividends as I used them for miles and miles/thousands of steps/dozens of blocks during a long weekend trip walking around NYC. My feet, which typically get sore or blistered during such walkathons, felt and still feel great days after returning home. I never worried about my feet. Can't wait to keep using them for my daily dog walks. GREAT PRODUCT.

Good Shoe That Could Be Great...Wears Out In Three To Four Months
I've purchased four pairs of Skechers Men's Max Cushioning Premier Vantage-Performance Walking & Running Shoe Sneaker, and while I absolutely love this sneaker for its fit and feel, comfort and weight, there is one disturbing flaw that I have found in all four pairs: the flaw is, the soles of the shoes wear down after three or four months and then the shoe isn't what it was. The comfort diminishes and, at least on my pairs, one of the shoes (the left foot for me) starts making a disconcerting flapping sound. Again, great shoe for three to four months...this is why I kept purchasing Skechers Men's Max Cushioning Premier Vantage-Performance Walking & Running Shoe Sneaker, despite its relatively short lifespan. However, I'm done now; not going to spend more of my money on another pair. How does Skechers fix this problem? Easy. Add more black, durable rubber to the areas of this shoe that wear down too quickly. I've attached a picture showing where the shoe prematurely wears. Come on, Skechers! You ALMOST have a great shoe here! If only you'd fix it.
