"Ferrous" means there is iron in it. Most studies show better bioavailability of ferrous bisglycinate AKA "chelated" iron. You should read up on what you're putting in your body... **Q: Should there be cotton in the bottle?** A: This brand didn’t have cotton. Another brand I purchased did. The capsules are really not fragile.
