This book was charmingly written and a pleasure to read. Not only is it a great yarn about two phenomenal women and their pioneering roles in the alternative health movement, but I picked up some useful tips about nutrition that clarified a lot of 'food confusion' I was having due to the current plague of contradictory nutrition advice. The recipes were an added bonus! Great work by the author to pull these biographical histories together. Highly recommended.

Story of generations of women in Australia using food to improve health
It's a great insight into what was going on in Australia with regards to health and food. Is based around Mrs Snook and the controversy that surrounded her diets. Includes many little insights into her life and the lives of her teachers and clients. I was shocked with the Australian Medical Association, an extremely well-renowned group and just what lengths they went to in what seemed like a campaign of harassment.A compelling read if you're interested in diet and women in history.
