I should have bought this sooner
I live in Texas and we don't have much winter weather but when we do it's usually in the morning.I was having trouble with my car heating up when it is cold (which it is fixed now).If you have this in your windshield (my car is 2006 Toyota Corolla) and turn it on about 1/2 before you go. When you get in the car your windshield will be totally frost/ice free and your car will be warmed up.I bought this so I can turn it on from inside the house:BN-LINK Smart WiFi Heavy Duty Outdoor Outlet, Timer and Countdown Function, No Hub Required for Outdoor Lights, Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant (Outdoor) 2.4 GHz Network onlyhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JQSX11M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1I also bought a temperate device and I'm hoping that the I can turn it on only when it's below like 45 degrees.

The Warm Guard works as advertised! Will get another!
This thing is awesome! I live in the Lake Tahoe/ Reno NV area. During winter you have a sheet of ice on the outside and fogging on the inside of your windshield. I have to get to work by 6 am. I did not want to spend $$$ on a remote start system so I opted for this for around 100 bucks. Best 100 bucks I have spent in a while. Set up and stowing is quick and easy. Since the unit keep your windshield above freezing temps there is no ice build up or fogging. Get in the car and leave a few miles your car is warm enough for the defrost and heater to take over. I would suggest a “flat” all weather grounded extension cord to run from in the car to a GFI power plug. Made in the USA, simple and practical. I will get another one to keep on the shelf.

Works as anticipated.
I bought this to reduce the window scraping time on my snow plow truck. And, it has worked well. I still had to scrape a bit on really cold mornings with fresh snow, but the window being warm, even made that easier. Only down side, is that you can end up with an ice build up below the window, if there is a heavy snow night.

Not a good winter test yet but so far so goodd
the cold weather really hasn't hit yet but it seems to work pretty good hundred Watts doesn't use much energy it's not going to hit your car but it definitely so far into the twenties my window hasn't Frost it up yet

Probably not worth $100 but it does get the job ...
Probably not worth $100 but it does get the job done. It is hot to the touch but not very much. However I drive a hard top convertible and this is the first winter I don't have access to a heated garage. This seems to do the trick.

Completely Pointless
I only have a little Ford Focus... You would never know there was anything attempting to heat the car. Even if you plug it in indoors, it only ever gets slightly warm. Within a few minutes of unplugging, it's not warm at all.And if I wasn't returning it, I'd have to velcro it to my dashboard or something. It abruptly slides right over the steering wheel and into my face ever time I turn the car, and it's super dangerous, especially in bad weather. I'll probably just start microwaving cloth bags of dry rice and using that on my dashboard instead.

Great product
I had it powered on my dash for 2 hours on an 18F morning. No effect on the frosted windshield. Very disappointing. Not a great product.
