Does exactly what I need it to, I hooked up my light strands up to it and it works like a charm. It's a real novelty to friends I have over to say "Computer, Christmas lights on!" Being a huge Star Trek fan it's really something surreal to have this product work so seamlessly with the Amazon Echo series. Also works smoothly with my iPhone after a relatively easy pairing. I had a bit of trouble with the "easy mode" of pairing. I ended up using the advanced one where you basically add the product's address through wifi on your phone. Once doing so, you switch back to the app and it pairs it with ease.

Worked great for a few weeks. Was easy to set up, and I love the smaller sizing. I've had other smart plugs and this would have been one of my favorites, but jownts malfunctioning big time. It only turns on and off through Alexa when it feels like it, the button on the side only works sometimes now, and it will randomly turn on and off throughout the day. I have an electric fireplace plugged into it, so this was a big safety hazard. After my experience this past week, I'm throwing it out. I can't risk having it malfunctioning like this while things are plugged in. Very dangerous.

My first smart plug so I didn't want to break the bank. I added bias lighting behind my TV and wanted a way to only run the lighting between 7pm and midnight when the TV was on (the USB plug on the TV is always on, so connecting to the TV was a no-go). So I ordered this inexpensive smart plug.Set up was a breeze, plugged in, downloaded the app on my iPhone and there it was. Did all the registration, renamed the plug, and set-up timer. Plugged up the bias lighting and it works perfectly.I'd give it 5 stars but the plug is a little large and limits what can be plugged into the adjacent outlet.

This worked great once we got it set up, but it took longer than I expected to get it working. We installed it in the order of their instructions, which started with their proprietary app, then the Alexa app, then getting it working via voice command with the Alexa device. All three methods work fine, even after moving the socket to a different location. I am unsure if you could get it working by skipping the proprietary app altogether, since we didn't try to do that. Similar to other products made in another country, the instructions were sometimes a little bit confusing. Looking forward to using this more!

Easy to set up, solid quality. Using the app provided by the manufacturer, I was able to have it set in 5 minutes. There is a big switch symbol on the app to turn the outlet on or off. The side button on the outlet is lit when is on. I tested turning on the outlet from far away using only the cellular network (not wifi), works like a charm. I guess this is what the IoT people are fascinated about. Now I can water my house plants and veggie garden from anywhere in the world any time I need to, nice.

I've had Alexa for awhile but just now starting to use it for turning on/off lights etc. Figured this would be a good easy first step for me. It was easier than I thought to get it all set up. ( You need your wifi password so have that handy. Directions are printed small so have reading glasses handy too ! LOL) I have it set up with a light in my home office right now but I'm going to use it for Christmas lights on my mantle when I get those up.

Great concept poor quality. Had this hooked up to our Christmas tree lights and it would randomly flicker off and on. We assumed it was too much power running through it since it can only hold 10 amps which, if I knew before buying, I wouldn't have. I tested out my theory by hooking it up to a single lamp ( less than a 1 amp load) Worked great for the last week until last night it flickered off and back on while we were sitting on the couch. Either this product is faulty (likely), the wiring in my apartment is faulty (possible) or I have ghosts (lets hope not).

This is the second smart plug I have purchased and it is my favorite. This smart plug is small enough to allow room for another item to be plugged into the same wall socket. The directions were easy to follow and I was able to pair it with my echo dot. I need to purchase more echo dots so I can purchase additional smart plugs.
