This weighted dolphin is adorable. It is comfortable to lay on any part of your body but it does nicely wrap around the shoulders. This dolphin is a good size for little children. It is a little bit smaller than some of the other weighted friends we have, which does make it thicker, but still easier for the younger child to hold. It just seems a little bit more compact than some of the others, which keeps the beads inside a little less mobile than on some of the others. The dolphin is blue with silver sparkles and it really shimmers in the light. It feels soft and smooth on the top and silky smooth on the bottom. We use this dolphin as a friend to hold when frustration levels are high or when we need to relax or practice a little more concentration. I love that weighted items are becoming more available, but I would love it even more if they became more affordable as well. Any time something is labeled as therapeutic it automatically becomes more expensive. These types of items are great for anybody with sensory needs, but they are great for everybody else as well. This is a great tool for helping to calm, focus or relax. Also, it is just a cute little friend for anybody. It would make a great gift and I would highly recommend some weighted toys for all kids.

The Manimo Dolphin Weighted Animal, 1kg, Blue is attractive and has a strokable tactile feeling. It has a pretty blue velvety fabric on one side that has background swirls and silver dots that makes it look like the dolphin is underwater. The eye is painted on so no possibility of it becoming detached. You can feel the beads inside and you can kind of squish and play with them. The construction is clever giving the dolphin a 3-D effect and allowing it to drape securely wherever you put it. The weight is significant but not overwhelming.The Manimo comes with a birth certificate and instructions on the how and why of the special use of this dolphin and other companion animals that you can get. I think everyone could use one of these.

I got this Manimo Dolphin Weighted Animal for my six year old son diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum to help aid in calming during meltdowns and as a source of comfort during times of high anxiety. The dolphin shape is ideal for use as a lap pad during meals, school car rides as well as drapped around the shoulders to mimic the feeling of being given a hug which is comforting to many children. My son liked to use it in addition to his weighted blanket as an extra sense of security at bedtime. The dolphin is made out of a nice soft material with a very slight textured design across the body. We've used the weighted dolphin for a few months now, what could easily be considered as rough use. It's been stepped on and tossed around, yet the shape remains full and the seams fully intact. No rips, holes, or snags to speak of. Im very pleased with the overall quality of this Manimo Dolphin Weighted Animal and I would recommend it to other parents.

Perfect size and weight for a child. A little too short to stay put on an adult's neck but I think there's a bigger version with more weight for adults. Bought for my 9yo. He loves it. Texture is nice and sensory friendly.
