Surprisingly absorbent! Upon arriving and feeling these, I didn’t think they work going to absorb much of anything. But my baby had a cold and sometimes would cough so hard (sad face) that it would make him throw up everything in his tummy (especially if he had eaten recently). Well one morning he did just that and I managed to grab this and hold it under his mouth and it caught almost all of it and absorbed it (some splashed back in to his face ☹️ but just because him throwing up was rather forceful).

The shape of these are really nice for placing over your shoulder. They served their purpose and wipe up spit up but the standard white burp cloths that they use in the hospital are so much better.

Great patterns and shape
I like the patterns, how soft these are, and the shape because it helps them stay in place. They were a little stiff before washing but now that they've been through the washer and dryer a few times they are just right.
