A must have smart watch for kids!
I bought the Xplora XGO 3 for my 9 year-old and it’s been a fantastic introduction to tech. The setup took a little patience, but once everything was up and running, it’s worked really well. I love the GPS tracking and safe zone alerts, it gives me peace of mind when my child is out with friends or at school. The ability to call and message approved contacts is a huge plus, and the step counter adds a fun way to encourage activity. Battery life is decent it lasts about 1-2 days depending on usage. Build quality is solid, and the watch has handled some rough play with no issues. Highly recommend for parents looking to stay connected with younger kids without handing them a smartphone.

GPS Not Working and Zero Customer Service
Watch looks nice, followed the setup but the GPS would not work (calls etc work fine but if we can't track the location then it's not worth much)Went through customer service and each time was told they failed to create a ticket and to try later

Sturdy, easy to use and intuitive watch! Highly recommended
The size is great even for a pre-schooler. Great, sturdy build quality and very intuitive touch screen and operating system that my daughter picked up immediately and very easily. Our daughter had a lot of fun and continues to enjoy itFor parents, the app is also easy to use and the notifications we get for every interaction the child has through the watch even with the other trusted people is very reassuring. The location function works well.Would definitely recommend it as a great smart watch for a pre-schooler that grows with the child and has enough features to keep it engaging while providing peace of mind for parents

Good for very little ones
I like that the functions are basic enough for very little ones. It's a nice touch for them to have if they want to feel "big" like older siblings. And the fact that obviously it does not carry the dangers of a smart phone. It is almost toy like, and with it being a watch it fits in with the Superhero/Spy theme that little kids love. Would not recommend for older children at all, and honestly speaking the set up is not easy and customer service are not easy to contact.

Very good product
Very good watch! Accurate with the GPS: the colour is nice on the watch. You can call and text (with no keyboard) send you images. You can set two guardians. You add contacts. Stopwatch, camera, steps, alarm, settings. Was a ball ache to set up. You have to pay monthly. But I do love the concept of the functions on the watch. Very well worth it. We brought two.

Very easy to use and perfect for the introduction to social/mobile technology
My daughter loves this watch, she's 9.First I found it so easy to set-up, the screen is very responsive which is hard to find on a small device.Swipe across and you find all the apps. So simple to actually use.The sim card slot was easy to find and install. The battery is incredibe. 100% charged on Wednesday still going strong until Friday night. With multiple calls/messages during the day.The app let you send and receive messages, emoji and pictures which my daughter loves sending me to show me what she's upto. And loved seeing the boring things I were doing. It's so easy to navigate that even the most technophobe person would be able to use it.It also let's you pre program numbers so you don't have to worry that they are talking to someone they don't know or shouldn't be.You also get a notification if they get a call or the ring someone. The GPS tracker shows exactly where she was which was fantastic for my peace of mind. There is school times where the watch becomes just a watch but it doesn't have to be set for a solid 6 hours eg, 9-3. You can do a few eg, 9-12 and 1-3 which is what I use just so she can ring me or ask something it's perfect.I think it's a must for a child who needs more independence and for a parent who knows they need to give them independence but still worries.I can't actually think of one negative thing to say about it.

Don't buy the XG03. 02 or 06 seem better (but still not 100% reliable)
UPDATE (Nov24): Issues continued and worsened e.g. app constantly failing to connect to watch or wouldnt refresh location, watch reporting my son travelled miles away when he was with me, msgs not going through etc. After some persistence, Xplora replaced this with the newer XG06 Play. Much better. Still occasionally won't refresh location (once only for a whole day) but much more reliable overall. Also does software updates (the XG03 never offered any) so hopefully will continue to be improved. My advice is don't buy the XG03. If you want a cheaper model try the XG02 as my friend's son has had that for months with no issues.Original review:Considering the cost of this item, I am seething. This was bought to allow our son the freedom to walk home from school without having to have a mobile. On day one, we walked to school together and all was fine and working well. By 1pm the watch stopped working. No explanation on the app - said it was not connected. However, on the watch it had reported low battery and switched off. The app said it had 43% battery (which was frustrating in itself as it was charging for over 15 hours and only unplugged as we left for school). I can only assume it is faulty but it is physically impossible to contact anyone or get any response. I now see their facebook page has no contact details and all the posts are filled with disgruntled parents commenting about faulty devices and how it is impossible to contact customer services. Some seemed to have been trying for weeks or even months. I wish I had looked there before I bought it. Nice idea but awful execution. It has caused us a lot of worry today - the very thing it was supposed to alleviate...

Great watch for my 10 year old
I would highly recommend this watch. My son is 10 years old and autistic. However, he would like some independence but can’t really use a mobile phone. We found this watch, which is ideal for him.The charge lasts really well. Easy to set up and use for both of us.He can message and call us, and us to him. And we can track where he is and has been with the built in tracker. We couldn’t recommend this enough. Thank you
