OtterBox iPhone 14 Pro Max (ONLY) Defender Series XT Case - Black, screenless, Rugged, Snaps to MagSafe, Lanyard Attachment

Otterbox has given me nothing but peace of mind! Peace of mind that my investment in my phone is well protected! I have always had the Defenders series for all my phones going all the way back to the Iphone 4 and will never buy any other case! They are pricey no doubt (nice discount here on Amazon) but I have happily payed full price in the past because what you get is a solid product figuratively and literally that also feels good in your hand! The Defenders series does add a some heft and weight so of you don’t like a heavy phone Defenders series may not be for you. I prefer that weight because in my daily quick paced life I have less chance of dropping it when on the go. Now I have dropped my phone many times but with the case and the screen protector I bought to go along with it. (SP not included with the case) my phone has come out unscathed every time! This is however my first time experiencing the Mag Safe version of the Defenders case. I was concerned that rubber on the sides and not covering the back would by a trade off in protection for the mag safe feature. Also This version of the Case does not include the holster that comes with the full Defender’s version that is without the mag safe compatibility. I was also concerned that the plastic shell would be flimsy like the plastic shell is for the full Defenders. The full case the rubber is where the true protection is over the shell so the plastic shell is not that strong. But this is where Otterbox’s genius comes into play! The Mag Safe case has a much sturdier plastic shell then its non mag safe counterpart which means Mag Safe version did not sacrifice protection for the sake of the Mag Safe feature! Mag Safe still has the weight and heft to it but is more streamlined and slim. This is still a case that won’t stop your heart the next time you drop your phone! One last note I previously mentioned that this case does not come with the holster that was cool because the holster is no more than $16 but and this is seriously why I love Otterbox the case came with documentation on how to get the holster for up to one year after purchase free of charge just pay for shipping! That was unexpected and a great way to show us the customer that we are valued as customers. Or at least that is what I take from it. All in all Otterbox redesigned their most rugged case without sacrificing protection and it is just as great as it has been for all my previous phones! Second time purchase this case because It does protect well and is sleek looking in black and lightweight. Previous case lasted about 2years before the rubber started decaying and tearing. Overall still a good product.

Everyone knows that it’s super difficult to find a phone case that feels secure and will properly protect your phone. I’ve had my phone for a couple years now and actually bought this case a second time when my first was becoming worn out and discolored because that’s how much I liked it. The purple is pretty (that is til it gets dirty from use) and I enjoy the clear aspect because I also opted in for the purple iPhone. Definitely worth the money.

Great phone case, lasted me 3+ years

This case is fantastic during daily use. It’s got the high build quality that I’ve come to expect from Otterbox. It’s nice to be able to have the benefits of the defender while still being able to use magsafe. I highly recommend it just for the experience of actually using the case, but I do have to knock a star off the review for a couple of nagging issues. The silent switch does not have a cover flap like the standard defender, so dust accumulates rather quickly there. Additionally, it can be difficult to get to if you have large fingers or short fingernails. It’s easy enough to get used to but it might turn off some people. Installation is a real test of patience. The installation video is very misleading. So if you’re someone who likes to switch cases or take it out frequently to clean or whatever, then you’re gonna have a bad time. Lastly, there is no included belt clip. That was fine last year when they included a voucher you could redeem for a free one on their website, but they don’t offer that anymore. So if you want a belt clip, you have to spend $15 or maybe look to see if Encased makes one. Ridiculous that the cheaper defender cases come with it and this more premium version does not. UPDATE: After removing the case a couple times to put on a screen protector and try out a different case, install has gotten noticeably easier. I would imagine the material is so stiff when new so as to allow for the case to get broken in without stretching. I’m not missing the belt clip too badly, but the silent switch is still really annoying.

Its not a cheap material. Its lasting and protects VERY well, better than any case I've ever had. Im not getting another case unless it’s this kind of case! Its comfortable (a bit heavy but that’s my preference!!!) amazing grip and honestly would recommend to anyone who works in hard jobs or just wants a thick case that feels good and makes your phone look bigger and stronger. Its a very modern (simple) design so it doesn’t distract you as much. Keeps you focused on what you are doing on your phone. Beautiful and well designed. Only thing is the installation (its not as easy as other case installations but once you get it done, you never need to take it off again! (Unless for some random reason). I like it keeps my charger port safe. Theres so much I can still say about it but overall it’s my favorite case! Hope you like the review and most of all the new phone case experience!!!

The case is not the full blown beefy completely sealed protection but a scaled down version. It is not waterproof but I do not need nor want that. Make no mistake it is still of great quality and protects the phone very well. The fit is EXACT! I like how you set the phone in the case and the top case snap ring fits into place tightly protecting your phone. This case does not have the size of heft as a full blown otterbox case which is great to slide in your back pocket. Its just right. The front top speaker, bottom speaker & microphone, and touch button are perfectly placed. The back charging works great as does the bottom lightning plug. The grip is solid and does not slide in your hand. There is no screen or camera lens protector with this version. I didn't seek these options and though otterbox has versions that offer these options. The sound of calls, playing movies, music, microphone, and sound on other end of a call while in this case are all great. No degradation in any way. This is a great case. I tried

I love the protection these cases provide. I’m clumsy and drop my stuff a lot, including my phone. It fits in my hand really well and I use a belt clip to wear this on my pants during work hours. There’s one issue and that’s the part that protects your charging port. After about a year of use it starts breaking down and you have to buy another case. Luckily they’re not that expensive unless you want a blue one at the moment.

Habe ein neues iPhone und bin mit einer “Standardschutzhülle” gestartet. Nach knapp 2 Monaten war die Rückseite gebrochen. (Ohne dass ich konkret wüsste wann und wie) Jetzt habe ich (wie bei all meinem alten Phones) eine Otterbox gekauft und hoffe, dass meine neues Phone nun auch wie meine alten heile bleibt. Eins weiß ich jetzt schon, die Rückseite der Otterbox ist deutlich stabiler als bei “normalen “ Schutzhüllen.

Quality was ok (prima) but unfortunately I did not receive any lanyard attachment :)

Very good cover with option to attach Hand wristbands to keep it safe from falling

Bought this to use with my bike quad lock phone attachment. It feels super strong and durable when my phone is inside without it being overly big. My phone fitted perfectly. The cord handle is also useful especially when I take it off my bike and I have my hands full. My partner also bought one for his phone as he was so impressed with it.

Kept my phone for 2 years through lots of drops in mint condition, good quality, a little thick but very grippy
