Winning Rhythms perfects rhythmic skills for all students, all instruments. Use it in your class. Use it in private lessons. You can even use Winning Rhythms without an instrument, clapping the rhythms. Later, add the bow or fingers. As your students become more rhythmically confident, they can play the rhythm patterns with scales. In no time at all, while their rhythm improves, they'll learn scales and fingering techniques too! Review: Useful for young kids! - My kids have really grown in their piano confidence thanks to this approachable theory book. Review: Gradual rhythm book great for beginners. - Finally a book that doesnโt go too difficult too quickly with rhythms for beginning students. I am having some of my voice students work on this. Maybe if you are an instrumentalist your rhythms are more ingrained and perhaps a more difficult book could be better but this gets difficult enough later on. So often for me the sight singing or rhythms books get way too complicated too fast for students, and this takes its time which is what I was looking for.

Very good
Very good but you need the help of your teacher. Otherwise you are not sure if you are doing it correct. It would be 5 stars if it had the CD with the rhythms.

It works!
I use this book for teaching how to count and develop players that don't fear rhythms. It is very well-written and affordable for students.

So much fun .... students love it !
My students are loving using this book. I teach the violin but we sit at the piano and play the rhythms together and they laugh and enjoy so much.

Great for teaching beginners rhythm!
I absolutely LOVE using this book as a supplemental material in my beginning band classroom. It starts very simple and is very accessible for early rhythm learning, but also advances to more complex rhythms fairly quickly to challenge even older students.
