Walkabout Chest Halter

Was nervous about getting g this but it has really helped my mastiff. I thought I would need surgery for her but after having this and using for a month she seems a lot better. Not all the way yet but almost. Instructions are non existent so it takes a bit to figure it out but now I can get it on and off in no time. Only use it when you are around and give your dog a brake from it. I wouldn't leave it on more than maybe 8 to 10 hours. Also make sure it's not too tight especially the ankle strap.

We ordered this harness after much research and having ordered a harness that did not work. This Walkabout is a great success for our 14 year old Aussie/Siberian. It assists in his walks and is helping to prevent worsening of his condition. It was recommended by our veterinarian. The company's customer service was a terrific assistance before ordering the harness to make sure we ordered the right size. Very pleased and will recommend to others!

My lab tore his ccl and surgery was recommended. I seen good reviews of this product and decided to try it out on him. He’s been using the brace for close to a month and is using his bad leg to walk on again. He’s not 100% but much more mobile and seems happier.

The halter was purchased in addition to a leg/knee brace for our dog with floating patella. The brace didn’t seem to provide any support as it was just a loose neoprene sleeve. We ordered according to the measuring chart but it didn’t fit in a way that would provide any noticeable support.

I personal wouldn’t waste my money. I didn’t return it because it had hair from trying to on. He already was picking his leg up and that’s all this product did. It didn’t fit snug and I measured him a few times. He lays around a lot because of the injury so just the few moments he had it on wasn’t worth the time it took to put it on and readjust. He has short smooth hair and even with the harness it slipped down. I hated that I wasted the money but it was worth a try nice concept but just didn’t fit snug for him in all areas and just didn’t seem worth it. I should of just got an ace bandage and wrapped it. If you want a regular harness just go to Walmart.

I only bought this because I was trying to set up my dog with a knee brace and this was needed. Unfortunately the knee brace did not work for her and I returned that, but when it came to me returning this is when I found out that I have to pay $3.66 to send it via USPS. It should be a free return. Be aware it is not

I got this thinking it was a different style to go with the leg brace. It’s not. It’s a basic harness. I could have saved money but getting one at Walmart. But it’s a decent quality so I gave good review.

This harness has a lot of attachments and when you put the leg sleeve on with it, the sleeve did not stay up on the dog unless you put it really tight which would be uncomfortable for the dog. So I would not purchase this again.
