This tester seems to be accurate for the values that I would expect with our soft water, R.O. water and bottled mineral water.Didn't need to calibrate first... as they promise, it is calibrated from the factory.The values obtained did take a while... probably almost a minute and kept changing when stirring the water.However, they did mostly come close to matching what we anticipated from reading about ph levels in soft and R.O. water, and bottled water, and from what we obtained using the less-than-ideal test strips.Verifies that the r.o. does give you more acidic water, so we added a hydronix magnesium cartridge to remineralize the water and bring up the ph a bit.However, PH level is going to be automatically taken care of in our bodies since the stomach is acidic anyway to digest foods.. and juice, coffee, and especially soda are very acidic so it is not harmful really unless you drink a lot of soda maybe.So the mineral cartridge as the final stage of the R.O. is probably a good idea but the acidic water from it won't likely harm you at all, just may not taste the best.

I was hesitant on buying a cheaper ph meter but decided to try it. It's great! Just follow the instructions carefully. I calibrated it with the powders and it is very accurate. So much better and faster than testing ph with the liquid kits. I rinsed it off with distilled water before and after use and left it moist when recapping. Perfect ph meter for my saltwater tank!

Easy to use and read, need to be back lit would be a good feature to add just rinse it off after every use.

had to recalibrate after 4 months of use. Other than that works great. Definitely use DI water to rinse

I wish it were easier to clean. It does provide the functionality that I'm looking for in that I can measure water and mash pH in my brewery.

JUNK. All I can say. I I could assign zero stars i would.My issue is with the calibration. Followed steps as outlined in the description of the item. The 6.86 calibrated just fine. it was the 4.0 solution i had trouble with. Once i cleaned the tip and dried, i placed in the 4.0 solution, pressed the CAL button and it read 6.86. It would not move off of the 6.86 calibration. So turned off unit, cleaned tip again, let it dry overnight then tried again. No luck. Still registers 6.86 even in the 4.0 solution.I emailed the seller, Aertools two times and no reply.

This meter will not calibrate correctly. Consistently reads 0.2 too low at low pH values and 0.2 too high at higher pH values. Verifying pH readings with properly calibrated lab grade meter. Pretty disappointed with this as I need resolution much better than +/- 0.2.
