Zootopia Crochet Paperback – June 13, 2017

I love this pattern designer. Katie Galusz also made the Marvel Universe Crochet kit pattern book. The way she designs amigurumi seems to be from the bottom up. You make the feet first, then join them, and then make the body and head and arms. It's very beginner friendly! I think I made Judy in about 2 hours and Nick in maybe 3 hours. Instant gratification in crocheters terms.There was enough yarn and stuffing provided in this kit. Thunder Bay Press is a great company and I love buying their kits. It's VERY well worth it to buy a kit because the books come with 12 patterns and materials, where if you had to buy a pattern individually it would cost at least a dollar per pattern, so that would be $12 in itself!

Great product but not for beginners. I need a huge amount of practice before I can even try this

Could not have picked a better hip surgery recovery project, it kept me well occupied while I was couch bound. The patterns are clear and simple, mostly single crochets with just a few variant stitches here and there. The hardest part for me was the counting (I misread the pattern and left two rounds out of Judy’s body) and working in tiny rounds, but once I figured out how to manage it with my big fat fingers and stopped forgetting to mark the beginning of each round, it was a cinch. As soon as I made Nick and Judy, I was back on amazon ordering more safety eyes and yarn. Can’t wait till I finish the whole set!

What a fun idea. I love that this kit comes with enough material to make the two main characters of Zootopia, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps. The book its self covers several more characters! I think 12 or more, was it? Of course, you have to gather your own supplies. Very adorable and I recommend this to anyone who has some skill in Crocheting. THOUGH, I paid WAY too much for this on amazon... Get it elsewhere!
